Much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ segments, readers of That Grape Juice know what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past. So in a quest to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday we introduced a new retrospective segment – ‘TGJ Replay’.
Unlike its ‘Rewind’ and ‘Vault’ predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase albums (and eras) from a library of pop music hits. While the masses bob their heads to her latest top-selling album ‘The Truth About Love’, we at TGJ want to revisit Pink‘s more rhythmic offerings – namely debut album ‘Can’t Take Me Home’… (more…)

As one of the few Pop stars whose success is hinged on their talent versus sensationalism, it’s not often Pink falls foul of public favour.
However, a sect of fans in Birmingham, England have been laying into the Grammy winning singer after she was forced to postpone her ‘Truth About Love Tour’ stop there after becoming ill.
Fed up with the jibes, the 33-year-old took to her official website to write an open letter. And yes, it’s as warm and witty as you’d think. Check it out after the jump…

Pop rebel Pink is presently pleasing fans on her worldwide ’Truth About Love Tour’.
The trek, which was mounted in support of her chart-topping album of the same name, sees the 33-year-old journey through hits of yesteryear as well some of her more recent gems. One of the tour’s most notable moments, though, is the star’s show-stopping rendition of 2002 smash ‘Just Like A Pill’.
A US smash (peaking at #8 on the Hot 100), the cut achieved its greatest success in the UK where it became her first number one single. More, than anything, it sits in the upper echelon of quality material Ms. Moore has released in her 12 years plus on the music scene — which in itself is mega feat.

So, despite being long time admirers of the Rapper, we can’t say we were too be pleased with the way in which Nicki Minaj‘s sophomore album, ‘Pink Friday: Reloaded’ was presented to the world last year…on all fronts.
However, in what we’d say proves she stands head and shoulders above the rest even when she isn’t at her best, the last few months have seen both she and the project exceed commercial expectations not even some of her fans could have expected.
This week, as she continues judging duties on ‘American Idol‘, she has gone on to exceed expectations yet again, joining her ‘Try’ sister P!nk in scoring a number of chart wins.

Pink may be a soulful Pop rocker these days, yet – as anyone au fait with her colorful career will know – playful R&B is the arena she rose to prominence in.
Indeed, it was her 2000 debut ‘Can’t Take Me Home’ that propelled the singer to stardom, creating the way for her mainstream mega-seller ‘M!ssundaztood’ the year after.
Thirteen years and thirty hits later, the singer gave a nod to her Urban humblings with an R&B medley at the Los Angeles stop of her ‘Truth About Love Tour’ last night.
