Despite earning his latest moderate hit with subliminal Kim Kardashian jab ‘I Hit It First’, singer/rapper Ray J has been hit by a number of critics who have panned the song since its debut.
The latest to add his name to a growing list of detractors is Grammy winning singer/songwriter Ne-Yo.

Referencing a number of his ‘claim to fames’, some might find the video a little tacky while others may find the humour in the whole piece…which includes a Kim Kardashian look alike.

In what may come as a surprise to ‘Formal Invite’ star Ray J Norwood, his controversial new single ‘I Hit It First’ has flown to unexpected heights after hitting the internet in the earlier part of last week.
For, while initially billed a buzz track for what fans had hoped is a forthcoming album from the singer, the song has proved that the singer’s British audience is anything but dead and- in all fact- is very alive.

Colour us confused, but are we the only ones who thought Ray J didn’t make music anymore?
In any case, the R&B bad boy is back with the classy single ’I Hit It First’.
The artwork for the single begun doing the rounds late last night, and it seems it inspired someone somewhere to unwrap the song a day earlier than the 32-year-old intended.
And while ex-Kim Kardashian isn’t called out by name, the lyrics make no secret about who the controversial star is singing about.

She may receive little to no love at any award ceremony nowadays, but that didn’t stop Lil Kim from hitting Life Nightclub in Atlanta, following the ‘BET Hip Hop Awards’ last night.
Joined by long time friend Floyd Mayweather Jnr and ‘One Wish’ wonder Ray J, the former Rap Queen seemed in good spirits, weeks after promising fans new music during an outing at New York Fashion Week.

The daughter of the late, great Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown, saluted her mother at the premiere for the fallen star’s curtain call, ‘Sparkle’.
Joined by boyfriend Nick Gordon, the 18 year old celebrated the launch of the movie, which sees Jordin Sparks and Tika Sumpter star alongside her mother, in Hollywood last night.

Brandy bids adieu to Bran-Nu?
As fans eagerly await the visual for Brandy’s new single ‘Put It Down’, the diva is announcing that she has found something else to put down…a try at rapping. For, with the assistance of hip-hop heavyweight Timbaland, the singer introduced ‘Bran-Nu’ – a rapping alter ego that flexed another of the songstress’s many talents.
However, if her recent interview with Q Deezy of Hot 107.9, fans can wish farewell to the short lived rap attempts of the ‘Human’ hitmaker. Also brushing up on her electrifying tribute to Whitney Houston (BET Awards), her Tyler Perry directed return to film (‘The Marriage Counselor’), and headlines involving brother Ray J and film co-star Kim Kardashian, it’s safe to say this is indeed a great watch!

‘Formal Invite’ singer Ray J invited many-a-major media outlet to be the first to hear his broken silence over the mourning of Whitney Houston. As fans know, the ‘I Will Always Love You’ hitmaker and Ray were long rumored to be in on-and-off again relationship. And, as a close friend to the Norwood family, Ray and sister Brandy were undoubtedly shaken by the loss, which came on the latter’s birthday.
Now, taking to Inside Edition, Extra, and more, Ray has finally come forth at Headquarters of the Los Angeles Sentinel to express his grief over Houston’s passing. On hand to lend his support to the local Brotherhood Crusade and Mothers in Action group, the singer struggled to find the words to even address the many microphones facing him.
