The Saturdays Perform ‘Work’ On Loose Women

UK vixens The Saturdays performed their latest smash ‘Work’ on Loose Women this morning. Another pretty good performance, I must say.

That Grape Juice were in the house at the lady’s show at London’s Hammersmith Apollo last night as guests of main sponsor Microsoft (you know!) While the ladies may have a lil way to go on perfecting their television showings, they killed it live – something I didn’t think I’d ever be putting finger to keyboard to write about a female POP group. From top to bottom, a great, great show. The ‘unofficially official’ lead singer Vanessa drank a cup of Sasha Fierce, because she was on fire!

What do you think of the performance?

Breaking: Child’s Body Found In Hudson Case

102708 Suburban2 Breaking: Childs Body Found In Hudson Case

DEVELOPING:

Authorities say they’ve found the body of a young black boy in an SUV in the city’s West Side, but there is no confirmation that the development is related to the search for Jennifer Hudson’s missing nephew.

MyFOXChicago is reporting that police located the SUV, which is believed to be the getaway vehicle driven by William Balfour, a suspect in the murders of the family members of Oscar-winning actress and singer Hudson.

While Chicago police have not yet confirmed whether the vehicle is in fact the white Chevy Suburban that police have been searching for, MyFOXChicago is reporting that the license plates match the Amber Alert issued after Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew Julian King was reported missing after the murders Friday.

The vehicle was reportedly located 13 miles northwest of the Hudson home and was removed by a tow truck from the street Monday morning.

Balfour was named in as a potential suspect Friday in the shooting deaths of Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and older brother Jason Hudson, 29. The FBI is working on the case with local authorities.

Balfour was married to Hudson’s sister, Julia, for several years but they were separated, his mother, Michele Balfour said. She said Donerson had ordered him to move out of the family’s home last winter.

On Sunday, Hudson, whose single “Spotlight” is number one on the Billboard R&B charts, offered a $100,000 reward for the safe return of King.

This is a developing story. {Source}

This is really beyond terrible. I have no words. Sad.

Janet Jackson – ‘Feedback’ Video

The highly anticipated video for Janet Jackson’s new single ‘Feedback’ premiered tonight on Yahoo Launch. Check it out:

What can I say other than, Janet is back! Let’s get the nitty gritty out the way first; the vid seemed a little too dark (which I’m hoping is due to the internet) and the special effects were a little hit and miss in places. Saying this, everything else was on-point – very on-point. Continuing the Jackson trend of being an innovator of the video form, Janet really stepped out of the box with this video’s concept and it really works. The choreography was great too – especially the dance break at the bridge and the part at the end. All in all, Janet brought her ‘A Game’ with this video – proving exactly why she should never be counted out. ‘Discipline’, Janet’s brand new album, hits stores February 26th.

Teedra Moses Album Delayed

Teedra Moses Album DelayedR&B songstress Teedra Moses has announced that her long-awaited sophomore CD ‘The Young Lioness’ has been pushed back (again) to next year. In a move to, perhaps, ease the angst of fans eagerly awaiting the album, Teedra has also confirmed that she will release another mixtape before the year’s out. Check out her MySpace post:
hey yall. Just letting you know that my album is not coming out this year. It has been push to the top of next year. Not my decision but I ain’t mad. It is what it is. I really am ready for yall to hear it though!!! Its funny, industry people think every artist hates their label, but in my case their wrong. I don’t hate nobody. I just don’t quite understand their logic. But don’t cry for me Argentina. I’m soooo Goood!! I don’t put my faith in a label my faith is in God, who reminds to have faith in myself and my team. God has a plan for me so no weapons formed against me will ever prosper. I’m starting to work on a Christmas mixed Tape. I know that sounds novel which ain’t normally my angle, but I’mma put a sexy soulful twist on christmas… ya feel me!

TVT (Teedra’s label) really need to get it together. Its been two years or so since the CD was supposed to drop. If-when the album is released-they don’t promote it right, they would have done Teedra and her fans a serious injustice. I’m starting to think she’d be better off at another label.

New Song: Common ‘Drivin’ Me Wild’ (ft. Lily Allen)

commonlily New Song: Common Drivin Me Wild (ft. Lily Allen) As Common preps the release of his latest album ‘Finding Forever’ (due July 31st), a new track from the CD has surfaced. Produced by Kanye West ‘Drivin’ Me Wild’ sees Common collaborate with British Pop sensation Lily Allen on what is a great track. The concept of the song focuses on those who try to fit in instead of embracing their individuality – a universal message. Outside of the Urban world, Lily is one of the artists I’ve been liking and her feature on the hook really works.

Danity Kane On Verge Of Break-Up

danitykane Danity Kane On Verge Of Break UpIt appears there may be truth to the rumours of Danity Kane splitting. TMZ caught up with member Aubrey O’Day, who was looking slightly worse-for-wear outside a Hollywood restaurant. O’Day called out Diddy for essentially ditching the group. In what comes as, somewhat of, a surprise, Aubrey didn’t deny the reporter’s question of whether she is set to join the Pussycat Dolls. {Click here to watch the video}.

With the recent reports of D. Woods leaving the group to pursue acting (as reported by Wendy Williams), along with Dawn’s recent solo material, the news is hardly shocking. Still, it’s ridiculous seeing yet another Bad Boy act left out in the cold by Diddy. Despite the fact that the group’s album was certified Platinum, he opted to wrap theirs up and promote his own CD instead. With Bad Boy’s lacking roster, Danity Kane, showed the most potential. In spite of the rumours, member Dawn insists the group is still together and will be recording another album. Whatever the case, things are not looking good for the girls.

What do you think about Danity Kane’s potential break-up?

Kanye West – ‘Stronger’ Video

The video for Kanye West’s latest single ‘Stronger’ debuted on TRL today. As with most things Kanye, the video is a kinda left-field and I’m liking it. Directed by Hype Williams, the big-budget video features many special effects – though they are, somewhat, hit and miss. Cassie plays the female interest in the vid too. ‘Stronger’ is the official first single from Kanye’s third album ‘Graduation’ (due August 21st) and was preceded by buzz single ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’.

Alicia Keys Beefing With Label?

alicia keys11 Alicia Keys Beefing With Label? NY Daily News is reporting that R&B star Alicia Keys has pushed back the release of her third album from June to October. The official reason given by her spokesperson was that there were ’scheduling conflicts’ with her blossoming acting career. However, it is rumoured that the singer is unhappy with the promotions situation at her label, J Records. Ken Wilson, the promotions director Keys ‘trusted and relied on’ was fired from the Clive Davis owned label.

Whatever the case, there are definite problems over at J Records. Solid albums by previously successful artists such as Fantasia and Monica severely underperformed due to bad promotion. It was as if the label’s artists would pop-up a month before their album would drop. With no single out now, Alicia would have been in the same situation come June. The label need to sort themselves out if they want their artists to actually sell; it’s not good when the top artist isn’t happy. It kinda makes me worry for upcoming J Records releases from Whitney Houston and Jennifer Hudson.
