‘Solo Star‘ Solange Knowles was in the spotlight channeling her inner Diana Ross at the Rimmel press conference celebrating 10 years with fashion it-girl Kate Moss. As fans know, the songstress acts as the face of the brand and also recently introduced a new line of lipstick with the cosmetics company.
There, word has it, the youngest of the Knowles clan revealed The Carters recently learned the sex of their baby. But, of course, the ‘I Decided’ singer decided to keep tight-lipped on the story from there.

Though loved and loathed for being a fearless fashionista, ‘I Decided’ songstress Solange must have clearly made the decision to turn heads for the past few days during NYFW (New York Fashion Week) as the web is still abuzz about the beauty’s wardrobe. Spotted at the Honor Spring 2012 show and later joined by mom/designer Tina Knowles at the Total Management’s Fashion Week Party (with Jade Jagger and Gilt City), it’s safe to say she made her rounds
Solange Knowles may not have released any music for the better part of three years, yet that hasn’t stopped the youngest of the soulful songstress from getting that all-important face time.
Indeed, the 25 year old was this week spotted at the Macy‘s press preview at New York’s Openhouse Gallery, bringing son Julez along for the fun.

Attending the Bean Pole x Kim Jones block party at the Opening Ceremony store, the youngest of the Knowles clan DJ’d and performed music at the event much to the delight of the other attendees.

Any doubts surrounding Beyonce‘s hard-working nature were further quelled last night when the superstar was spotted on the set of yet another video. This time it’s ’4′ fan favourite ‘Party’ which received the visual treatment in a trailer park in New Jersey last night.
Joining the 29 year old on the colourful set were sister Solange and bandmate Kelly Rowland.
The work doesn’t stop there, either. For, industry outlet Video Static has confirmed that a clip for ‘Countdown’ has been commissioned and will be directed by Adria Petty – who took the helm of King B’s ‘Sweet Dreams’ video. If there’s any justice in the world, it’ll be better than that dollar-store effort.
Regardless, it’s great to see Ms. Knowles shooting clips for all the ‘right’ songs (word has it ‘End of Time’ has or will be shot too). Begging the question: just what is she cooking up behind the scenes? Whatever the case, it looks like ’4′ has much mileage to go.

Soulful Solange Knowles may have signed up to be face of Rimmel London make-up early last year, however the fruits of her union with the cosmetic firm have only surfaced today.
The youngest of the Knowles clan stikes many a fierce pose in these newly release promotional shots from her campaign.

Check out soulful singer Solange rocking her son’s Julez’s new line of t-shirts. The youngster, 6, designed the line (‘Julez for Japan’) for the Peace Winds organisation. Proceeds from all shirts sold will be donated to those affected by Japan’s recent earthquake disaster.
Great to see Solange involving her son in such an honorable cause, at such a young age.
It’s been a minute since we’ve heard anything from Solange; however, the youngest of the Knowles clan has been busying herself with many a project. Indeed, as well as recording her third studio album, the 24 year old joined forces with Twin Shadow and Chris Taylor (of the Grizzly Bears) to record charitable track ‘Kenya’.
The release is designed to generate awareness of the world’s water crisis, benefitting charitable efforts of Coca-Cola Africa Foundation’s RAIN (Replenishing Africa Initiative). Proceeds from the track will be used to establish clean water standards for a number of African countries such as Uganda, Cameroon, and Rwanda.
Speaking of the record, Solange said: “To me it inspires hope when it’s more upbeat and spirited, and I think that that is what the conversation should be about.”
