tiffany evans 1 New Song: Tiffany Evans Im Every Woman (Whitney Houston Cover)

It’s been a short while since we’ve heard anything musically from powerhouse vocalist Tiffany Evans. However, the 18 year old has resurfaced under management by Mathew Knowles and Music World (I know…)

While Evans records her sophomore LP (which is set to be released by Columbia Records), it appears her talents are being synchronised with the Knowles’ other business ventures. Indeed, her recently recorded take on Whitney Houston‘s version of ‘I’m Every Woman’ features on the official website of Tina Knowles new affordable clothing range ‘Miss Tina’.

Take a listen to Tiffany’s cover below…

Tiffany Evans Covers Whitney Houston’s ‘I Have Nothing’

Singer Tiffany Evans enjoys covering songs by her favourite artists. This time around, the 17-year old took on the challenge of singing one of Whitney Houston’s most popular ballads, ‘I Have Nothing’. Evans was recently involved in a public feud with Rihanna, in which she responded to one of the model’s comments by stating “too bad I can Sang!”

And “sang” she can! Although she did not outperform Houston’s original, Evans’ rendition was powerful, soulful and impressive. Her transitions through the registers of her vocal range and the conviction that she displayed while she sang depict a vocalist who can certainly out-sing many of today’s other so-called ‘singers’. Great stuff.

Tiffany Evans To Rihanna: “At Least I Can Sing!”

tiffany evans Tiffany Evans To Rihanna: At Least I Can Sing!

Following Rihanna‘s comments about wanting to “switch off” R&B singer Tiffany Evans (regarding Evans’ comments on RiRi and the Illumnati), Evans has taken to her Twitter page to respond. Here’s what she said:

I just wanna say that I personally do not have beef with Rihanna. Why would I have any beef with someone I don’t even know? It’s stupid. Whatever statements I made about the industry was not geared towards Rihanna in any type of way. What I said about RussianR was blown way out.

So to Rihanna as young woman with total respect I apologize for the huge misunderstanding.

Citing certain blog sites for fuelling the fire (not us of course, Tiffany is a TGJ fan), Tiffany hilariously rounded off by adding:

Oh one more thing, about her calling me out with remote thing on big boi LOL I thought is was funny. Too bad I can Sang!

LMAO! Tiffany kept it classy, yet got the undeniable in at the end! POW…lol

Tidbit: Reality TV personality Tila Tequila, who Ms. Fenty also called out in the interview, responded…levelling some truly SHOCKING accusations about against her. Click here to read what she had to say. Explosive! (Knowing Tila, it could all just be rubbish, but a fascinating read nonetheless!)

Rihanna Slams Tiffany Evans

photorated0dnl1 Rihanna Slams Tiffany Evans

Bajan model Rihanna guested on the popular radio spot ‘Big Boi in the Neighborhood’ recently. In the interview, the singer discussed her new album, ‘Rated R’, as well as people in the industry that she dislikes. Among the names that the star named was none other than Tiffany Evans who recently spoke out about the symbolism involved in Rihanna’s hit song ‘Russian Roulette’. Interestingly, Tiffany released an apology almost immediately after Rihanna made her comments, then retorted by slamming her right back.

This is getting better with every passing moment! Whether or not there is any hidden meaning in Rihanna’s music is besides the point because I staunchly subscribe to the belief that “meaning lies in people, not in words.” What is  interesting, however, is how these two artists are going at it so publicly. In fact, they should take a cue from the rappers and go at it on the stage with a good, old-fashioned vocal battle. We all know who would lose…sorry, I couldn’t help it.

Tiffany Evans Sings ‘Halo’

Friend of That Grape Juice, the immensely talented Tiffany Evans, recently put up her own rendition of Beyonce’s smash ‘Halo’. Check it out above!

I’m being 100% real with you when I say that her version is on the same wavelength as Beyonce’s (IMO); amazing. To think Ms. Evans only just turned 17 in August makes her vocal capabilities all the more astounding. Awesome.

Keyshia Cole Covers VIBE

Peep Keyshia Cole on the cover of VIBE magazine’s Style Issue. While Keyshia has upped her game in the style front, I can’t say the same for her music. I’m really not feeling her latest album ‘A Different Me’.

Why LaToya, Why?

latoya+jackson Why LaToya, Why? LaToya Jackson was snapped at the Arcandor Medientriff in Germany recently. Needless to say, the 51 year old looked like a trainwreck. I will never understand why beautiful people insist on messing with their God-given looks. SMH…

Tiffany Evans – ‘I’m Grown’ (ft. Bow Wow) Video

After hitting the scene last year with her debut ‘Promise Ring’, 14 year old vocalist Tiffany Evans is back with her second single, the Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins produced ‘I’m Grown’. The video for the single, which features Bow Wow, premiered recently; I must say, I’m liking it. Yes, it’s simplistic and the concept has been done before, but I really respect the fact that she is being branded (songs/videos etc) in a age appropriate way that doesn’t alienate older listeners. With her self-titled album having been pushed back a few times, I’m anxious to see what this undeniable young talent will be serving up in 2008.

Tiffany Evans Performs ‘Promise Ring’ On 106 & Park

R&B breakout star Tiffany Evans’ performed her current single ‘Promise Ring’ on BET’s 106 & Park a couple of weeks back. A few shaky notes aside, she nailed it! From the choreography to the vocals to the overall energy, she was great. At just 15 years old, this girl is destined for big things; talent like this can’t (and hopefully won’t) be ignored.
