trey-songz-that-grape-juice-2015-111

Trey Songz‘ forthcoming LP will see him venture into new musical territory with hopes of reaching his full potential as a commercial and critical act.

How he’s kicking off his new and improved era? By covering the late David Bowie’s ‘Life on Mars?’ for HBO‘s ‘Vinyl.’

He shared:

I had to do what I do best, because icons like David paved the way. After learning of his passing I knew that this was a special moment in time and this cover became my personal tribute to David. Experiences like this have helped to shape my future and respect the past of others before me. This has become a very special moment in my career and I am blessed and grateful to be apart!

Exciting times.

Give it a listen below…

With bad b*tches, gold grillz, and liquor flowing in tow, Songz’ newest visual offering comes as everything except a departure from his standard fare – a truth, we must say, we’re hoping isn’t the case when his next studio LP (‘Tremaine’) hits stores.
