Though the song has admittedly grown on me more recently, I can’t say the video ‘wowed’ in any way, shape or form. That said, it still manages to serve its purpose, which I guess must count for something…

Some of our international visitors may have been wondering about the slow-go posts on some of your favourite blogs (That Grape Juice being your favourite, of course lol lol lol) over the past few days. Well, the US and select other countries enjoyed their Labour Day yesterday, which meant an elongated weekend.
Normality picks up from now though, with a lot to look forward to this week, namely the debut of Brandy’s ‘Right Here’ video, the first performance of ‘Stand Up’ by Beyonce, Rihanna & co, an inside look at the blogger behind That Grape Juice, as well as the site’s history and all the usual goodies in between lol.

R&B songstress Monica confirmed that her forthcoming LP ‘Still Standing’ will be hitting stores early 2009, during a recent message to her fans. The 28 year old star cites the fact that she is still in the studio working on the record as the reason for the delay.
With Jay-Z currently hard at work on his forthcoming LP ‘The Blueprint 3′, the studio version of ‘Jockin’ Jay-Z’ (a cut from the album) has surfaced. Some of you may remember, Jay recently performed the Kanye West produced track at a show in New York’s Madison Squared Garden. Having heard the song (which samples Run DMC) in its entirety, I must say I’m liking this one a lot. Definitely has me anticipating what Jay will be serving up with the album more wholesomely.
