‘Pick Your Poison’ producer Diplo has opened up on the R&B classic ‘Climax‘, the jam he produced for ‘Dive’ star Usher.
However, while enlisting the chart topper to work on his latest album ‘Looking For Myself’ may have seemed like an easy to decision to make considering his credentials, Diplo has revealed that he feels Usher took a risk when joining him in the studio.

When it comes to pleasing fans, very few come better than Usher.
Securing chart success with dance numbers while leading the way for R&B’s freshest stars with ‘Climax’, he has come under heavy praise from ‘Beatles’ legend Paul McCartney thanks to that very song.

American Idol, X Factor, The Voice, Sunday’s Best, Duets, Making the Band, Sing-Off, and Major & Minors are just a few of the recognizable titles of singing competitions that have graced (or disgraced) television over the past decade or so.
With its modern-day format pioneered by the FOX-aired ‘Idol’ to once record ratings (though ‘Live at the Apollo’ is the true grandfather of the genre), the last few years have seen a steadily declining interest in the singing competition themed reality show – despite reigniting interest in some of music’s top stars (see: Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, etc).
Until…NBC’s ‘The Voice’. But, even with its winning ratings, it has yet to produce a quality star in three seasons:

Season 4 of The Voice kicked off in spectacular fashion last night. And as has become customary on the NBC hit, the show’s four coaches took front stage center for a rousing joint performance.
New additions Usher and Shakira teamed up with show staples Adam Levine and Blake Shelton to rock the house with the aptly titled ‘Come Together’.

It appears Usher is wasting no time cooking up new material to pair with his new role on The Voice.
Hitmaker and long-time collaborator Jermaine Dupri shared a shot of him and the 34-year-old in the studio, tagging the snap “Me and Usher back in the lab”.
And while the singing superstar has made no secret of the fact that he’s working on the follow-up to last year’s ‘Looking 4 Myself’, his reuniting with JD will, for most, be the most exciting news to emerge about the as yet untitled set. Indeed, the duo have a number of chart smashes under their collective belt – such as ‘You Make Me Wanna’, ‘U Got It Bad‘, the title-track of 2004′s Diamond seller ‘Confessions’, and of course ‘Burn’.
What’s more, with many still campaigning for a more marked return to R&B for Usher, re-teaming with Mr Durpi is as smart a move as it gets.

Usher‘s inaugural SXSW appearance came last night during the set of the night’s rocker headliners Afghan Whigs. The group backed the ‘Confessions’ crooner as he laid into a number of his top hits including ‘O.M.G.’, ‘Climax’, ‘U Got It Bad’, and more.
Ush’s performance, which came during the height of last night’s media circus around ailing health reports of rapper Lil’ Wayne, saw him send well-wishes to the ‘Lollipop’ performer.

‘Imma be the Queen no matter how they shuffle‘.
When your name is Beyonce, the above line remains cemented in truth with every accolade and award she adds to her name. This time, it’s an accolade courtesy of the guys over ‘VH1′- who have named her their ‘Sexiest Artist’, seeing her beat the likes of Eminem, Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent and Jennifer Lopez.

When we interviewed Jermaine Dupri earlier this month, the hitmaker stressed that he’d be pulling out all the stops for the 20th anniversary of his So So Def imprint. And, oh was the he not lying.
Last night’s show at the Fox Theater in Atlanta saw the likes of Usher, Monica, Jay-Z, Ludacris perform, while Mariah Carey made a surprise appearance at the sell-out gig.

As reported here, ‘Breakaway’ beauty Kelly Clarkson broke her silence via open letter to former mentor/music mogul Clive Davis after his damning comments about her in his new memoir ‘The Soundtrack Of My Life’.
After Clarkson’s slam made headlines across the net, Davis took to Twitter to offer a response to the young diva’s claims.
The statement came shortly after the airing of his stop by ‘Katie’ where he opened up about his reported bisexuality and was later joined by ‘Climax’ crooner Usher to reflect on time with Whitney Houston and more.
