Brandy’s ‘Human’ Pushed Back

According to our friends over at Rap-Up.com, Brandy’s ‘comeback’ LP ‘Human’ has been delayed. Instead of arriving in stores on November 11th, the album will now be released on December 9th. ‘Human’ will now being going up against releases from the likes of Ciara, Keri Hilson and 50 Cent.

It’s a shame the album has been pushed back. Still, with ‘Right Here’ not performing as well as it should IMO, I’m all for dropping another single before the album’s release, which seems to be the plan at present.

New Song: Leona Lewis – Misses Glass

‘Misses Glass’ is one of two new tracks from the revamped US version of Leona’s debut album ‘Spirit’. The uptempo cut injects a much-needed lease of life into ‘Spirit’s’ ballad-laden form. What’s more, with its ‘Pop-meets-light R&B’ sound, the Mad Scientist produced track should appeal to the mass US audience. ‘Spirit’ hits stores in the US on April 8th.

New Song: Donnie – ‘So Beautiful’ (Snippet)

With new material from the Making The Band winners surfacing recently, it only seems apt for a taste of Donnie’s offerings also. Donnie, if you remember, didn’t make the final cut for the band last season, however was signed up by Diddy as a solo artist.

For the most part, I think ‘So Beautiful’ is a pretty solid (sounding) track. This mid-tempo production compliments Donnie’s voice well. My only gripe is the song’s lyrics, which range from pretty engaging to infantile and laced with cliche’s. Still, it’s promising.

Lil’ Kim Looking…

Rapper Lil’ Kim attended the Jason ‘Baby-J’ Martin & DJ Sussone Birthday Extravaganza in New York this past weekend. I dunno, but since the surgery, Kim’s look has ranged from ‘ok’ to train-wreck. About this pic, let’s just say she’s had better days….SMH

Beyonce Show Axed For Being Too Sexy

As a result of protests by Malaysia’s Muslim groups, Beyonce’s upcoming concert in the country’s Kuala Lumpur region – her first ever there – has been cancelled. The ‘Deja Vu’ singer reportedly refused to conform to the Malaysian Muslim dress code – which doesn’t allow for female performers to reveal any skin from the chest down – or tone down her racy routines. Interestingly, Gwen Stefani, who toured the same region recently, agreed to make changes to her show so that it may be acceptable. {Source}

I doubt her refusal was down to any diva antics. The whole idea of her touring over there seemed to be ill-advised in the first place. A large part of Beyonce’s appeal is her ’sexiness’ and having seen the show myself, I doubt it would have been possible to alter the show to the expected standards.

Danity Kane Release Statement

After the mass confusion surrounding Danity Kane’s future – caused mainly by the different accounts given by its members, the group have released a statement to clear the air. Check it out below:

For their sake, I’m hoping they’ve sorted themselves out. They evidently had miscommunication issues. Diddy needs to realize Danity Kane are the best thing Bad Boy have going for it right now and stop holding them down in favour of his own project.
