Hot Shots: Willow Smith Unveils Bold New Look

It’s hard to believe three years have passed since Willow Smith released the smash hit single ‘Whip My Hair‘.

Indeed, while some fans were disappointed its release wasn’t followed by the LP promised to them, the singer continued to keep her buzz alive this week when she unveiled a brand new hairstyle on Twitter, as seen above.

Snapped in the company of friends, the ROC star’s snaps saw her sport the purple look one year after she was reported to have signed onto star in a remake of Gray’s Annie but pulled out some time later, forfeiting the role to Quvenzhané Wallis.

Fans sweet on a certain Willow Smith have been invited to the treat that is her latest offering ‘Sugar & Spice’.

Smith, best known for her upbeat singles ‘Fireball’ and ‘Whip My Hair’, has whipped up quite the chatter about ‘Sugar’ as it, despite what its title may suggest, isn’t exactly the bubblegum pop fans have come to know of the self-proclaimed ’21st Century Girl’.

Must See: Willow Smith Writes Letter To Tupac

As one of Pop’s more promising stars, Willow Smith‘s journey to the top has increasingly become more about her worth as an entertainer and less about the weight her surname carries in her industry.

Now, in what really is a truly moving gesture, she has unveiled a letter she wrote to her mother’s good friend Tupac- expressing how much she misses the late MC, urging his return to her.

She may have one of Pop’s better voices, but there’s no denying style has become an integral piece of Willow Smith’s ever impressive puzzle.

For, after wowing audiences with a number of varying looks since her 2010 debut, yesterday saw the starlet unveil a fresh aesthetic in Calabasas while out with a close friend.

Rocking a pixie cut and a collection of piercings , the ’21st Century Girl’ was snapped on her way out of a Starbucks two months after the release of her motivational single ‘I Am Me’.

Hot Shot: Willow Smith Flaunts ‘Tongue Piercing’

Willow Smith had many a tongue wagging today, when the above snap of she, and what appears to be a friend, emerged online.

For, if one takes a close look inside the 11 year old’s mouth, you’d see what looks like a tongue piercing, forcing many to question its authenticity- considering the star’s age.

Here’s hoping Willow has her father’s sense of humor and is ‘pulling the world’s leg so to speak.

If not, here’s hoping her quest for ‘self expression’ doesn’t tar what could be a very fruitful career in music, in the way it has to so many before her.

While another Jay Z protegee’s venture into film is sinking fast, another’s may be on the rise. For, while fans await her delayed Roc Nation debut ‘Knees & Elbows’, reports surface that ‘Whip My Hair’ hitmaker Willow Smith is whipping her way onto the big screen.

As father Will Smith, who will produce the film, makes his rounds in support of Men In Black III (May 25th), he announces Willow is readying a remake of the famed 1982 musical ‘Annie’.

The film is set to be updated with a new setting and new music. No director or release date have been named at this time. (source)
