Weigh In: Jaden & Willow Smith Slammed For Their ‘Weirdest Interview Yet’

They could be revolutionaries in the making or they could just be plain crazy.  And, if a recent New York Times interview is anything to judge by, more people are willing to bet the latter than the former.

Whatever you peg them, the Smith kids – Jaden and Willow – have certainly been earning their fair share of names from spectators as of late.  The elder Smith and his bevy of memorable quotes like “how can mirrors be real if our eyes aren’t real” and “if everyone dropped out of school we’d have a more intelligent society” have earned mix review from commenters who can’t decide of the former ‘Karate Kid’ is genius or nah.

Willow, on the other hand, has made just as many headlines for her outspoken nature.  Now, it seems the duo is poised to keep the side-eyes and raised eyebrows coming via an interesting New York Times interview that’s leaving many-a-head scratched.  Read some of the quotes below:

New Song: Willow Smith – ‘8’

I’ve been coming into this new phase in my life, just becoming one with all that is, going deeper into myself and getting to the goal of my music, which is to share that feeling and pass on knowledge so that consciousness can be raised on this planet.

Willow Smith shared the above with ‘MTV‘ recently, doing so far removed from the Pop bop that was ‘Whip my Hair’, and as she heads towards deeper and far more thought provoking musical territory.

Today, she celebrates her arrival at said territory with ‘8’, a brand new song puled from DJ Kitty Cash’s ‘Love the Free II’ mix tape!

New Video: Willow Smith – ‘Summer Fling’

As much as it hurts us to admit it, there’s something unsettling about the way in which Willow Smith is being presented to the world.

Case in point, her appearance in Melodic Chaotic‘s brand new offering… ‘Summer Fling’, which sees the 12 year old Pop Princess enjoy just that with a boyfriend in the video, one year after the release of her more age appropriate ‘I Am Me‘.

Unfortunately, in trying to present the starlet as being ‘all grown up’, whoever was tasked with creating this video actually reaffirms that there is something seriously wrong with placing a child in a setting as romantic as the one you’ll see below- especially, when that child is playing a character far older than themselves.
