It goes without saying that issues of hue remain present in the Black diaspora.

Indeed, as highlighted in our Word…Light Skin / Dark Skin Debate’, there exists unwavering controversy surrounding the social and commercial representation of “dark” skin and what it means to be “dark” in the modern.

It’s a debate which forms the focus of new mini-documentary ‘Dark Girls’ – by Bill Duke and D. Berry.

    Great Doc…All women suffer for some type of low self esteem. You have to build it up and love yourself …. tell the world to F* off.
