As many a ‘Marvel’ fan will already know, April 16th will bring with it the international release of ‘The Amazing Spiderman 2′, starring ‘Boy A‘s Andrew Garfield and singer/actor Jamie Foxx.

So, in doing his part to push the action movie, the latter caught up with France’s ‘Le Figaro‘ for an interview that saw him arrive to discuss the role he played in it, but leave the outlet’s audience with a fresh perspective on racism and his admiration for the heroic President Obama.

This, coupled with his thoughts on the likes of Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B.Jordan and Kevin Hart, all of whom he cites as inspiration.

Lupita is really proving that HWood will accept all kinds of beauty if it can make them money. Too bad Beyonce thinks looking white is the only way to be accepted.

    • BeyBeyKing April 13, 2014

      What’s that supposed to mean?

      • BanjeeRiri April 13, 2014

Good point, would Beyonce have gotten all those magazine covers if she didn’t have blonde hair and light eyes?

      • Daniella April 13, 2014

Beyonce looks closer to the European standard of beauty than she does to anything else and that’s why people think she’s pretty, Lupita’s look usually works against girls who look like her so she’s redefining what it means to be beautiful. Beyonce only did what everyone else did and ran with it.

      • Naomi April 13, 2014

Beyoncé cannot help she is light skinned.

    • BEYHIVE_MINAJ April 13, 2014

Excuse me,what do you mean “Looking white”. Beyonce has always been lightskinned. Not every black woman has to be dark as tar.

      • Daniella April 13, 2014

What color is Beyonce’s skin in the 02 commercial babe?

      • BEYHIVE_MINAJ April 13, 2014

This is supposed to prove?? Everyone knows that light skinned women appear very light(sometimes close to white) under lighting and flashing lights.

    • Rih Rox April 13, 2014

beyawnce looks like a black man immigrating a white female.

      • Rih Rox April 13, 2014

        Imitating *

    • realtard April 13, 2014

@daniella…why are you bashing beyonce for something she cannot change(her light skin)…she is light skinned and there’s nothing she can do about it

    • Davis April 13, 2014

      BITTER DARK SKINNED BXITCH ALERT!

Kelly would get the same attention Lupita gets if she worked harder 2bh. It’s obvs that Hollywood loves Slaypita publicly but the truth is that girls like her get turned down in auditions everyday because casting directors don’t think black girls have the same appeal as other chicks do. If Kelly put her mind to it she could be just as celebrated but she’s too busy worshipping Beyonce to see her own portion.

  3. Lana Del Slay April 13, 2014

This is interesting. Tyra B and Beyonce DID redefine black beauty but did it from afar because they look closer to the average white person than they do the average Black person which isn’t their fault of course, but did work to their advantage.
I think Lupita being celebrated as the next big thing is important because it’s forcing black people to rethink the way they see themselves and their own definition of beauty and people from other races to accept that they come in ALL different shades and colors.

    • Baduizm05 April 13, 2014

Excuse me, the only reason Lupita is being “celebrated” is because she played a s****. Why should it take for black women to be downright ugly in their movies to be celebrated as actresses? You really have to see the negative affect it’s having on black youth if the only time they see black women winning Oscars is when they play horrible/traumatized characters.

Meanwhile actresses from other races are winning awards for playing a VARIETY of roles.

      • King April 13, 2014

Just like Beyonce, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Drake, etc. are having a negative affect on Black youth and still winning awards for it. Singing about nothing but s**, b******, h***, n*****, etc.

  4. FentySoSnatched April 13, 2014

Right before Beyonce went solo she had rhinoplasty to make her nose look smaller, if that isn’t selling out I don’t know what is.

    • LegendaryLovah April 13, 2014

The irony in you dissing Beyonce when Rihanna copied her formula to get attention or did you forget that Rihanna used to be her clone back in 05/06?

      • FentySoSnatched April 13, 2014

What’s that got to do with anything b****? Rihanna never had to alter her look to make the GP love her, she has the same nose as she did when she started out.

      • Naomi April 13, 2014

‘Rihanna has never altered her look to make the GP love her’ Are you sure about that? Her look changed with every new f****** era.

    • BEYHIVE_MINAJ April 13, 2014

Provide receipts or sit the f*** down.

  5. BEYHIVE_MINAJ April 13, 2014

Slaypita has really proven that talent can get you anywhere no matter your appearance. I really love and respect her for proving to colored women that you don’t need weaves, perms or cosmetics to feel beautiful #Queen.

      • BEYHIVE_MINAJ April 13, 2014

B****,don’t even try it. Beyonce has always been light-skinned. Don’t take it out on her you charcoal b****.

  6. Rih Rox April 13, 2014

That lupita person is so overrated and ugly. Looks like a bloke.

    • JanetXone April 13, 2014

We know she’s not a bloke because Rihanna hasn’t tried to sleep with her. B****.

      • QueenJanine (Ms.Butcher If You’re Nasty) April 13, 2014

        Oops.

    • BEYHIVE_MINAJ April 13, 2014

Sit the f*** down you churro shaped anorexic b****. I wonder how you really look like since you’re always hating on beautiful women online. Your pathetic. Go get your life.

      • Rih Rox April 13, 2014

She only won the Oscar because she is ugly and people felt sorry for her. Sympathy award.

      • Naomi April 13, 2014

Oscars don’t give out awards for sympathy you dumb b****. Clearly you have not watched the film she did a f****** fantastic job.

  7. BaddieBey April 13, 2014

I think it’s so funny how some people claim their black heritage when it suits them. Mariah wasn’t interested in being black when she was with Tommy but then played the black card when she wanted to seem young and hip in the noughties. Same goes for Obama, raised by a white family but used his black heritage to get ahead when it was his white grand parents who looked after him when his black father abandoned him.

    • Realest April 13, 2014

Such a lie. Mariah’s background singers , assistants/friends and majority of her band musicians were black. She did BET, sang multiple gospel influenced song as and even did Oprah her first year out where she proclaimed IM BLACK. You sound SO DUMB, ignorant and pressed. Speaking as if your delusions are facts.

      IGNORANT

  9. Monstarebel April 13, 2014

We all know Beyonce’s lightened her skin her fans need to stop living in denial.

    • Naomi April 13, 2014

Beyoncé never bleached her skin you people are so DUMB.

    • DOSSOME April 13, 2014

      Wow,Where’ve you been?

  10. My Gums Tho(aka Teacher) April 13, 2014

Skin tone ain got nothin to do w it but that nose job she got is very telling! B****!

  11. HOTSTUFF April 13, 2014

what about Naomi Campbell ???? she’s an inspiration and she is prettier than most light skin….

  12. JOHNVIDAL April 13, 2014

Can´t wait for The Amazing Spiderman 2. Loved the first one and the new cast. I want to see a blockbuster with some real actors like Jamie Fox, Andrew Garfield (he´s amazing in the role), Emma Stone, Dane Dehaan (probably the most talented young actor in Hollywood right now), etc.
And I can´t wait for Alicia Keys´s video for the song.

  13. Naomi April 13, 2014

Why is Yonce the topic of discussion AGAIN. Jeesh the girl has always been lighskinned why would she need to bleach her skin? Also, Beyoncé isn’t trying to be white any more your sister, mother or black girl friend with weave that is NOT their natural hair texture ok? Beyoncé is not the only black girl to rock blonde, no one has s*** to say about people like Mary J, Tina Turner who wear blonde weaves throughout their entire career. Beyoncé cannot help her creole heritage. And Lupita is pretty but shes only getting praise because she played a s****. She is not the first dark skinned woman in showbiz.

    • DOSSOME April 13, 2014

So why u shading lupita?she’s a great actress getting recognized

      • Naomi April 13, 2014

I’m not shading her, I’m speaking the truth. It highlights the problem with the industry. The only way girls like her can get recognized is through playing slaves. We will be stepping forward when there is more recognition in more variety.

  14. Naomi April 13, 2014

Not these dark skinned f*** taking their frustrations out on Beyoncé anyway. If you can’t praise dark skinned person, without dissing someone light skinned. You are no better.

  15. DOSSOME April 13, 2014

I’m beginning to enjoy this new layout…anyway can’t wait for the film
