After announcing the addition of Tyson Beckford and Michael Jai White to its cast, forthcoming flick ‘Chocolate City‘ has welcomed rapper Romeo Miller to its lineup today, handing the performer the movie’s lead role.

Set to be sold as an African American take on Warner Bros‘ ‘Magic Mike’, ‘City’ has now revealed that Miller portray lead character Devin, a religious young man who steps into the world of Adult entertainment to support himself through college.
This, much to the dismay of Beckford‘s character who sees his popularity wane once the unassuming Devin arrives at ‘Chocolate City’, an African American male strip club whose customers soon take a liking to its amateur newcomer, casting Beckford‘s star into the shadows.
Announced 16 years after the release of the similarly themed ‘The Players Club‘, production on ‘Chocolate’ will begin in LA at the of June, and will see ‘Gang of Roses’ star Eurika Pratts portray Miller’s girlfriend, watching their relationship suffer under the strain of his new lifestyle.

Romeo grew up WELL. Can these beefcakes even dance? Lol, I know Michael Jai White does Martial Arts so maybe it’ll help. Tyson’s a model and is all about well calculated movements (see him on the catwalk) but I’m not sure how that’ll translate to him dancing. Romeo was a one time rapper now he’s nothing more than a pretty face with a s*** body. Good luck to them.

Wrong. The reason why ‘Magic Mike’ was so successful was because the majority of its audience was young women.
I’m definitely going to see it. And it’s probably gonna be a better movie than ‘Magic Mike’ (which was corny as hell), just like ‘The Players’ Club’ was a better movie than ‘Showgirls’.
