Ray Rice’s Wife Accuses Media Of “Embarrassing Us” Following Violent Assault Footage / President Obama Weighs In

Ray Rice Press Conference

The wife of shamed NFL player Ray Rice has slammed the media today, accusing them of “embarrassing her” after covering the release of CCTV footage which saw her Rice drag her unconscious body out of an elevator after he punched her in the face.

Her surprising response to the drama below…

I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I’m mourning the death of my closest friend. But to have to accept the fact that it’s reality is a nightmare in itself. No one knows the pain that the media & unwanted options from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret every day is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass of for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific.THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don’t you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you’ve succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is!Ravensnation we love you!

The message above was posted on Janay’s Instagram page following TMZ’ unveiling of the violent clip, now available to watch here.

What may have prompted her anger? News that Rice has been cut from the ‘Baltimore Ravens’ and a statement released by the President of the United States Barack Obama, who slammed the violent athlete through a White House rep with:

The President is the father of two daughters. And like any American he believes that domestic violence is contemptible and unacceptable in any civilised society.

Hitting a woman is not something a real man does, and that’s true whether or not an act of violence happens in the public eye, or, all too often, behind closed doors.

Stopping domestic violence is something that’s bigger than football – and all of us have a responsibility to put a stop to it.

Bitchh He PUNCHED you in the face and knocked you out! And the only thing your worried about is embarrassment!!!!?
She sounds sooo F’n stupid, That statement she released is rediculous. I cannot deal with a silly ass female like her, And I doubt that was the first time he went upside your head.

    F** Outta Here!
Im done with this story, Like FR.

What was done in the dark, God brought it to life to save her silly ass, but She mad now because that was her meal ticket,And now they both can go back to living the simple life.

Exactly. No female deserves to be hit like that but I definitely feel no sympathy for this one after the utter stupidity that was that statement. The entire world is defending her and she turns around and feels sorry for her man talking about showing people “what real love is”? Typical, pathetic, weak-ass doormat. Real love is not punching someone in the face…now the taint? That’s a different story altogether! JK…kind of.

I guess she was trying to say that this “embarrassment” should not have ended his career. Yeah what he did was wrong, but that is a private affair and she can handle it however she chooses to handle it. Nowadays, social media makes big companies uphold an image and will, reluctantly, let go of anyone who deviates from that image. Imagine getting fired from your because your child walked home because you forgot to pick them up, which would be seen as neglect. Although that happens to many adults, they don’t face the music because eyes aren’t on them.

With all due respect, there’s an enormous difference between letting your child walk home alone and knocking your girlfriend the f%#k out!
In my opinion, the fact that these matters are no longer dealt with in a private manner the way they used to is not an invasion of privacy – it’s much needed exposure to a problem which without being exposed simply isn’t dealt with. Would you rather private matters be kept private and for domestic violence to continue to be a huge problem in society or shame people (regardless of whether or not it’s for the sake of a company’s image) in order to get them and their audience to learn and fix their mistakes? Personally, I’d rather the latter.

I would rather the victims of domestic abuse have the resources available to them so that they may be able to leave such situations. Being forced into the public eye has many potential repercussions that might even threaten their own safety. Yes you will have those people who will do nothing and continue to take the abuse, but that where we as a society should act and let them know that there is better and there is help. If the public did not know of this situation perhaps he could have inspired people to getbtheir game on and succeed instead of falling into this trend that has been glorified (ex. Chris Brown). My example was to compare privacy not the severity, kind of stupid to even make that implication as well.

At this point , i hope he is fired . This will let men know that YOU DO NOT HIT A WOMAN. & fuxk this stupid ho and her dumb ass comment.

I understand what she means. No I don’t agree with what happened BUT this is their personal issue. She decided to except his transgressions and move on so it definitely would be frustrating to get over something with your family personally, only to have everyone in America giving you and your family there opinion on something that happened 1/2 a year ago. If she got over it, moved on and chooses to accept her women beating husband that’s her decision and she has accepted it and moved on. Sucks she has to relive it again through low life social media thugs and gossip blogs.

This is filed under “entertainment” but there is nothing entertaining about domestic abuse.

  9. DIGGER BEY September 9, 2014

Smh….The most embarrassing part was your man knocking your ass out and then dragging u like a rag doll. This woman needs help!

  10. There once was a pimp and his h**…. September 9, 2014

I would never wish the worse on a victim of DV/DA. I sincerely hope she gets back in her right state of mind because that event involving Rice was NOT acceptable. Hopefully, she leaves him if he tries that again.
