NBC’s ‘The Wiz‘ has welcomed Mr. Independent Ne-Yo to its cast!

December 3rd will see the TV movie recreate the African-American alternative to the classic story of ‘The Wizard of Oz.’
The original ‘Wiz’ made its way to the world in 1978 and starred Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Richard Pryor and Lena Horne.
Now, Ne-Yo has joined its revamped version as the Tin Man, joining Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah and Common who have also signed on to star in the hotly anticipated release.
A press release announcing the R&B’s singer role in the project shared this:
Ne-Yo will play the Tin Man, who was once a flesh-and-blood woodsman but a spell put on him by the Wicked Witch causes him to lose his limbs and heart. He learns that he’s never lost the ability to feel.
Will he finally show his head? Coz if not then #Pass.
