Lifetime are revving up their their latest biopic. This time’s it’s the turn of iconic songstress Toni Braxton.
Aptly titled ‘Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart,’ the original made-for-TV movie now has an official debut date of Saturday, January 23 at 8pm ET/PT.
Newcomer Lex Scott Davis (‘The Exes’) has landed the role of the seven-time Grammy Award-winning R&B diva in the flick which follows the singer’s journey from her discovery by mega producers L.A. Reid and Babyface, to her battle with Lupus.
The two-hour movie, which is executive produced by Braxton, also chronicles how the songbird soared above her public divorce, while navigating her son’s autism and family struggles. It brings to life her well-selling memoir (also titled ‘Unbreak My Heart’), which hit retail last year.

The heavy involvement of Toni in all facets of the production should alleviate any worries about this veering anywhere near the dismal disaster of the Aaliyah biopic.
We envisage this continuing the solid footing set by the Whitney Houston offering that followed.

Well at least Toni is here to keep their asses in check as accuracy like Tina Turner’s What Love Gotta Do With It, TLC CrazySexyCool, ect top of films.. unlike that Aaliyah and Whitney bipoics which didn’t do my faves no justice whatsoever.
I’m so done with people saying that the family has an issue with Tamar. She was with Trina on Thanksgiving cooking chitterlings like what normal sisters do, but of course they didn’t want to see that and comment on it.
