Andy Cohen‘s quest to deliver diverse programming via Bravo continues to pay off for its parent company NBC this year.
Lauded the part he played in introducing the world to the affluent ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’, his latest TV series ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ has seen he and its African-American “wives” rock on a ratings front.
Good news below…
On January 17th 2016 Potomac’s premiere episode pulled in audience of 2.06 million viewers. Since then, each and every episode has enticed no less than 1,000,000 viewers pushing its season total over the 18 million mark…set to rise once the numbers for the second half of its reunion special are published.
As it stands, 18.04 million households tuned in to catch the show’s first season giving Bravo good reason to consider a second season the green light.
The first season of “The Real Housewives of Potomac” has performed very well for Bravo, averaging 2.1 million viewers in Nielsen’s “live plus-3” estimates — good enough to become the network’s most-watched first season of a series since “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” in 2010. And among both adults 18-49 (1.2 million) and adults 25-54 (1.3 million), it stands as Bravo’s top new series since “Vanderpump Rules” in 2013.
It should be noted that ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ remains the highest-rated ‘Housewives’ series of all time.
