It’s safe to say representation of the Middle Eastern community in the media is inaccurate at worst and scarce at best.
Fortunately, Bravo’s ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ now seems to be on course to fly the flag for diversity once again with the help of lawyer/ ‘Wife’ Phaedra Parks.

Once a ‘Housewives’ season ends its show runners meet up to assess the show’s progress.
In these meetings, thoughts are given to how they can boost ratings with its existing cast members or potential replacements.
At this point, said potentials are required to shoot scenes/audition with existing ‘Wives’ and, should they impress the show’s producers, Bravo and its parent company NBC, will be welcomed to the series.
In some cases, these potentials can often be wheeled in at the eleventh filming hour after being rejected to replace a ‘Wife’ who may choose to leave the season while it is being filmed (see Kim Zolciak‘s surprise exit in Season 5.)
This year, Bravo has teamed up with the aforementioned Parks and her cast mate Porsha Williams to receive the Middle Eastern entrepreneur Maryam and her husband Kemal.
Aytac was spotted with Parks and Williams earlier this week as she shoots “test scenes” for the series’ ninth cycle and at a gathering held at her business, Cafe Istanbul.
Unconfirmed reports also suggest that the thriving business woman is one of three hopefuls being eyed by Bravo to join the series.
Casting decisions for the season are yet to be finalised.

Kandi is bringing nothing to the series anymore so this is who can replace her. She tried to lead the show when Nene left but the truth is that It’s the beta Phaedra who is carrying it with her storylines and wit.
I don’t agree! Kandi is the most successful one! If she doesn’t bring anything why is she only one that has had the most spinoffs? Not to mention she just had her baby recently and is opening up a new restaurant and writing a new play and the ppl love her & her mom and she is the longest running member next to nene! So why not
Those spinoffs tanked dear. She doesn’t have A storyline, her skill lies in her ability to insert herself in other people’s storylines in ways that make her seem caring or endearing. She brings absolutely nothing to the series anymore besides her rocky relationship with Phaedra. Also, the producers continue to insult my intelligence by accommodating Kenya’s ploys. If she REALly met Matt at the gym how and why was he mic’d up before she and Marlo met him. They expect us to believe that they didn’t know each other before that day thinking nobody would notice that he was ready to film the scene in which he “randomly” introduces himself to her.
I agree kandI brings nothing to the show phaedra and porsha the only reason to watch they need to fire Kenya her storyline is the same year after year ashy petty rusty looking ass

Fakedra brings nothing to the series. Apollo is gone now. What’s her storyline? Porscha is in the same boat. These ladies trying to read kandi but she makes more money then fakedra and porscha combined.
