Stacey Dash Slams Jesse Williams’ BET Awards Speech As ‘An Attack On White People’ #ICYMI

As praise for ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ actor/activist Jesse Williams continues to flood in after his impassioned race equality speech at this week’s BET Awards, there have been a small, yet surprising number of critics who felt the speech raised a few eyebrows.

One such critic, whose skepticism comes as a surprise to no one, is ‘Clueless’ star Stacey Dash.  The actress/FOX News puppet commentator took to her blog to slam Williams for a speech she calls ‘an attack on white people.’

Keen to find out what else she said?  Get it below (in case you missed it):

Via Stacey Dash (in response to video above):

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: BET is keeping racism and segregation alive and this past Sunday’s awards show proves it.

Particularly the speech given by Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams, whose tirade after receiving the 2016 BET Humanitarian Award for his black activism was nothing short of an attack on white people. What he said was straight out of the Black Lives Matter playbook…

Maybe now people will see why I’m so against this racist network.  You’ve just seen the perfect example of a HOLLYWOOD plantation slave! Sorry, Mr Williams. But the fact that you were standing on that stage at THOSE awards tells people you really don’t know what your talking about. Just spewing hate and anger.

Because you my man are just like everyone else hustling to get money. But your cognitive dissidents has you getting it from THAT BYSTANDER whom  YOU DONT NEED. Yes. BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION is WHITE OWNED.

GET over yourself and get on with it!”

    • Danzou July 1, 2016

I usually don’t wish death on people but her, Donald trump, and that “omg” account are really pushing it.

  7. Danzou July 1, 2016

First off Stacey Rash, it’s cognitive DISSONANCE YOU H**! DISSONANCE!Ain’t that the pot calling the kettle black. Or should isay white? You know honestly, I just try and understand WHY people act this way you know? Like…what is it about black people and/or African heritage/lineage that makes people SO uncomfortable? I JUST don’t get it. Why are black people and our problems at the bottom of the damn list? Are people upset that their ancestors are descendants of African men and women? Are people simply ignorant and uneducated? And why is it that when you try and educate people they will literally refuse the information?

    • B&B July 2, 2016

Sometimes I think its because we’re the Hebrews of the Bible that God spoke of(Abraham’s seed) who would be oppressed for 400 years but that’s just my personal hunch.

  8. Rihluv July 1, 2016

What a pathetic delusional disassociated c*** …. She is literally clueless

  9. Danzou July 1, 2016

It’s funny cuz non black POC have perpetuated so much racism over the years just to turn around and get mad at black people for putting ourselves first rather than being martyrs for other races. In the eyes of white people, we are ALL underneath them. All organisms are naturally wired to survive and thrive but the difference is that white people can’t survive and thrive being genetically deficient people. SOOOO they have resorted to r***, treachery, betrayal, deceit, slaughter, mass genocide, theft, appropriation, and basically ANYTHING else that will get them by but it’s always at the expense of someone else. Hitler is one of the greatest examples.

    • Adovian July 2, 2016

You’re obviously very educated. This is very well articulated?

      • Danzou July 2, 2016

        Thank you so much

  10. Casual-T July 1, 2016

I disagree with the extreme viewpoints expressed by both Stacey Dash and Jesse Williams, but please respect what she has to say. I think what she is saying needs to be part of the conversation.
    .
I thought Jesse Williams’ speech was sincere, heartfelt, and powerful, but it also seemed out of this time, as if it would have been better suited for an era gone by. Black youth need to stop acting as if they are living the same struggle our elders and ancestors did, because they’re not. Saying so disrespects our elders and ancestors. We should continue to fight against racism and incidences when we are unfairly targeted by police, but we should also acknowledge that now, those are not even in the top 3 of issues confronting blacks in the United States.

    • Danzou July 1, 2016

Ok so I’m gonna try and hear you out. *sigh* What makes you think theat because the oppression is different from past oppression that people are disrespecting their ancestors? What type of erasure is that? That’s like saying that our ancestors shouldn’t have fought against segregation because it wasn’t as bad as slavery. C’mon now you gotta do better than that. Stacy is insinuating that a system created by white people for their own benefit is being used against them via BET then all in the same breath she mentioned BET being owned by a white person. She literally just kicked her own ass but you think she has a point? “Top 3?” Why are you leveling oppression? And how was his speech targeted to an era gone by if he literally spoke on exactly what’s going on right now in this day and age? I mean really I want answers.

      • Casual July 1, 2016

You were not receptive to what I had to say, which is why you drew conclusions I did not imply.
        .
We are no longer oppressed at all. I am a black man living in the United States, product of a black household, black neighborhoods, black grade schools, and an hbcu. I have not been oppressed, and in fact, there is nothing I have desired to do that has been denied me based on race. I’ve dealt with racism on occasion — how about (years ago) being called a “n****r” at work one day when I had to review a rap sheet with an old white man who was embarrassed to have a young black man explain that his pistol license was on hold until he cleared up a decades old charge for sodomy? — but racism has not been a factor for me in terms of accomplishing anything I wanted to do.
        .
Fact: You do not have a right to not have your feelings hurt. So what, racism exists. Get over it.
        .
I said that we should continue the fight against unwarranted policy brutality, but the fact is that most black youth are not killed by police, but by other blacks.
        .
We need to get in formation about Chicago, St. Louis, Baltimore, and D.C. We need to clean up our own cities to make them safe, fiscally sound, and viable again. BLM has an external focus. Our problems are more internal than external today, and raging against whites or whatever external enemy comes into our purview at any particular time does nothing.
        .
I guess we have different perceptions of the state of black America and our place in the nation. I hope we can agree to disagree.

      • Danzou July 2, 2016

        You’re not black.

      • sleazy July 2, 2016

his not black. racism exist it shouldnt exist at all. the same things are happening today like it did years ago just in different ways

      • Casual July 2, 2016

I’m blacker than Jesse Williams and Stacey Dash, and in terms of skin tone, probably blacker than you too. What makes you think every black person has to view the world through the same lens? The debate we are having, indeed the one between the Williams and Dash schools of thought, isn’t new. You need to study our (assuming YOU are black) history to learn more about the movements occurring in black thought dating back to late 19th century. The debate has changed some due to the fact that our circumstances are not the same.
        .
Most of the predominantly black cities in the United States have been run down by liberal policies. You made no attempt to negate any of that, relying on a summary personal attack — “You’re not black.” You need to upgrade yourself and learn to make more than emotional arguments.
        .
If you and still following this thread, please let us know what goals you have sought or will seek that have been thwarted by racism.

      • Danzou July 2, 2016

I don’t believe you being black I could be wrong but I honestly just don’t. And if you are black then I’m honestly disappointed in you. I have very high standards for my culture so yeah. But anyways I have encountered plenty of racially charged situations however I am not about to write a f****** memoir just for you to completely disregard my experiences because you’re more willing to argue than to listen and understand what the f*** I’m telling you. I’m not making this s*** up. Read a book. Google it. Go to the library. Listen to music. The information is EVERYWHERE.

  11. leveinard July 1, 2016

This prize-winning heifer of conservative media is only ever trotted out to discredit other blacks. A fellow “correspondent” could hurl every racist insult at her and her mother, and she’d likely sit there and take it. Why? Because cable news shows like Fox News, along with her ex, are paying all of her bills.

Her only concern is where her next check comes from. What she has to do for it does not matter. Even small amounts of money talk.

  13. StarXavi July 1, 2016

    This b**** is LITERALLY clueless.

  14. Citi July 1, 2016

She’s not against black people, she is against the reverse racism that is seen in the black culture. She’s calling it out and doesn’t stand behind certain things. She’s allowed to.

    • Lmfao_Hoe July 1, 2016

Theres no such thing as reveres racism ! search that word up and tell me that s*** applies to black people too. Since when did we have CONTROL and Power over anything in this country, and don’t you dare try bring Obama up when he faces racism from Republicans too.

      • Casual July 1, 2016

You are confusing racism and discrimination, which requires power. You need to study more about politics. Most Republican opposition to President Obama’s policies was not based on racism, but on policy differences. He could have gotten on spectacular healthcare bill had he allowed the process to play out and corralled the Democrat caucuses in both chambers to put in just a few tweaks the Republicans were begging for — most notably tort reform and the ability to buy across state lines.

      • REALTALK July 2, 2016

It’s wanna be house negroes like Clueless and Casual that stagnates progress!!! No person of color in their right mind can say racism doesn’t exist when all you have to do is walk outside to your local supermarket, mall, etc. the looks, the tight posturing, clutching of the purse, etc. CLEARLY shows you that America still has deep rooted race issues. AA’s react to it but whites have created it!!! There’s a huge difference when you interact with a white person that isn’t prejudice from one that is. Obama’s presidency brought the dogs back out, his presidency was so morally wrong to so many that people are now open to a self centered egomaniac ruling the free world, like Trump said “I could shoot someone on 42nd street in broad daylight and my followers would still follow me” that’s some sick sad sh*t!!!! What platform would people of color have if there were no BET? MTV didn’t want us, the networks didn’t want us, Hollywood didn’t want us until BET and other self-love platforms forced their hands. BET isn’t perfect but it forced networks to take notice of people of color. This misinformed idiot says “what goals you have sought or will seek that have been thwarted by racism? Have you looked at the minority vs white unemployment stats lately? My suggestion is that you go check them out cause it’s apparent that you haven’t.

  15. Prince Kaleo July 1, 2016

She makes me sick. I used to think you were so beautiful. Shut your mouth Stacey, just shut the hell up because all those white people you are supporting could give a s*** about you. BET has supported your career for as long as I can remember. Playing those whack ass movies u been in, your only hit movie was Clueless and now you really are clueless. Smfh…

I think Jesse was very well spoken and you can tell he is educated. How is she calling him a racist when he is half white? She is such an idiot lol

  16. July 1, 2016

Sigh no surprise, the gift that keeps on giving…

  17. RealNegro July 1, 2016

Even though Jesse’s speech was borderline mental, it still doesn’t take away from the facts of white privilege and people of color oppression. In fact, black people suffer have suffered and continue to suffer the most under these rules. Arabs and Hispanics are just catching up. History proves that no race has suffered the wrath of the white man like the black man. You had the Irish, and Japanese but for how long? Look at our Jails and unjust convictions and you tell me.

  18. Jordin July 2, 2016

    So much ignorance lately.

She is right. Focus on achieving good things. You wont change the world by whining but by Getting ELECTED.

The real problem is poor vs rich. not black vs white.

No need to segregate yourselves, all colors are in the same boat. We gotta kick out dem rich mofos.

This non black issu is all just hype Beyonce and co just use to make people talk about themselves.

We are all one race, the human race, the rest is cultural b*******

    • Danzou July 2, 2016

Lol no there’s not one race. There are multiple races. White people are genetically deficient which is why they are doing all this.

    • jlove July 2, 2016

      well said

    • REALTALK July 2, 2016

If she was right you wouldn’t have this predominately minority website to comment on!!
You would have to go on TigerBeat.com or some sh*t to post your opinion. Tigerbeat may be cool for you but thank God there’s other platforms out there. It would be great if platforms didn’t discriminate but guess what? They do. It’s very clear why Stacey is known for “Clueless” they go perfect together.
