‘Black Panther‘ actor Michael B. Jordan has been linked to a proposed reboot of the cult classic ‘The Matrix.’

Details below…

The movie’s originators The Wachowskis aren’t involved in Warner Bros’ plans to revive the story as it stands. However, according to murmurs spilled by Hollywood insiders, Michael B. Jordan is.

Yet to be confirmed or denied by Jordan or Warner, news of his union with the project claim he is to portray its leading man Neo, originally played by Keanu Reeves in 1999.

The original generated $460 million at the box office.

‘Deadline’, who broke the news of plans to reboot the movie, add:

The sequel The Matrix Reloaded did even better and grossed $742 million globally for Warner Bros and Village Roadshow Pictures. The finale released later that year in 2003, paled in comparison, but still grossed $427.3 million.

A reboot? The matrix is one of those movies that should not be touched ever again.

No, no, and no again. Instead of rebooting they should re-release the original trilogy in 3D.

Hollywood ran out of ideas years ago, literally every movie released this year is a remake, reboot, adaption and or sequal and it’s been like that for years, I’m suprised the “Hollywood has no originality whatsoever ” comments still exist….
    .
I mean from 50 shades darker to fast and a furious MOTHERFUCKING 8 all these movies either belong to a franchise or are comic book / novel adaptions….. damn the last time I saw an original movie was back in 09 with Avatar

Well at least there are movies like Hidden Figures, Moonlight, Get Out, and Split that have all done well and are original

Why remake it though? That world is so big why not just tell a different story with original characters 🙁

This is exciting for me as a fan, That story has so much potential, and quite frankly, I was never ready for it to end.
