T.I. Readies ‘The Apprentice’-Style TV Series

T.I. is determined to celebrate and uplift his community with the original content he is committed to producing on stage and on screen.

Criticised in the past for engaging in misogynoir (see his thinly veiled threats towards Azealia Banks) the brilliant performer turns a new leaf by using his social media platforms to celebrate black history and share his occasionally controversial views on the black family.

His latest move? The creation of a new TV series designed to find entrepreneurs within the African-American community.

Set in Atlanta, ‘The Grand Hustle’ will see 16 business men and women compete for a job within the rapper’s Grand Hustle empire over the course of 12 episodes which kick off on July 19th!

The candidates are determined to prove they have what it takes to out-hustle the rest. They serve up big deals and even bigger doses of drama each week as they fight for their seat at the table. Ultimately, only one will be crowned the Grand Hustler.

T.I. said this about the series…

The Grand Hustle Empire is always expanding so therefore we needed to add a very talented, highly skilled executive to our team.

It doesn’t matter if you got your hustle at Harvard or the hood, The Grand Hustle is about how you handle business and what you can do for the brand so I wanted to create a show that offers an equal playing field.

Sounds promising.

Your thoughts?
