Damon Dash has urged the black community to beware of Lee Daniels and cites his alleged habit of using and abusing black creatives as his grounds for concern.
Dash’s peaceful efforts to retrieve the $2 million Lee owes him were met with ignored texts and unanswered phone calls and so, after confronting him about it in public, has decided to teach him a lesson he’ll never forget!
How? By exposing Lee’s unscrupulous antics.

Lee is also sneaky and has no plans of voluntarily giving that money back from a legal sense Damon might not have a case. Notice how Lee is protecting himself by saying Damon “gave” him the money Damon keeps saying he loaned the money but where is the written contract at? Who waits 10 years without suing to get their money back? Something is fishy with his story. Did Damon already sue Lee and lose? Based on Damon’s words only….he gave Lee the money to invest in the movie Shadowbox which flopped. When a movie flops the investors lose their money. I’m not on Lee’s side at all but based on Damon’s words I conclude the “loan” was an investment and Lee does not owe him.
I just watched Lee’s response and he basically said everything I had already concluded. Lee does not legally owe Damon any money but morally he should give him some of the money back because he verbally promised Damon he would get his investment back. These two men should meet and handle this situation now before it turns any more uglier.
So NOW we’re supposed to beware of Lee Daniels because Dame Dash says so? What about when Monique was saying the same thing for months & everyone called her crazy and bitter? FOH.
Monique has been flying off her rocker ever since she hosted the flavor of love Charm School on VH1 which must have made her feel morally superior to everyone else even tho she and her husband like to step outside their marraige. People tuned out Mo’Nique because it wasn’t just about Lee; it was about Lee, Oprah, Tyler, the Netflix offer and comparing herself to other actors and comedians as though she is superior in some way. She makes it hard to listen to anything she says. There’s a big difference in Dame’s approach.

I’m not sure Lee screwed him over. When you invest in a movie and it flops you lose your investment. Shadowbox flopped. All the investors lost money so why should Damon be excluded from losing money too?
