In breaking news, it has been announced that Joe Jackson – the patriarch of the iconic Jackson Family – has died aged 89.

According to TMZ, the renown music manager passed away this morning in hospital.
He was surrounded at his bedside by wife Katherine, as well as some of his children and grandchildren. His passing comes two days after the 9th anniversary of his son Michael‘s death aged 50.
News broke last week that Joe was in the final stages of life after battling terminal cancer.
In life, he was as celebrated as he was controversial. For, his undeniable prowess in artist development and management saw him kickstart the career of The Jackson 5, as well as the solo journeys of Michael and Janet. Yet, his iron-fist approach drew critique from many of his own children.
Still, it goes without saying that without Joe, there’d be no Jackson Family legacy as we know it today. And for that we thank him, mourn him, and celebrate him.
