Universal Pictures won the rights to the story and now set their sights on box office glory with a movie adaptation they- according to sources- hope Rihanna will star in!
According to our sources Anne Hathaway is in talks to star in a currently unknown role. The studio is also looking at Rihanna for the role of Bombalurina a key character featured in the musical, but as of now its only interest, and no formal talks have taken place.
The film is expected to begin production sometime in September in London. It is not known if the film will use full CGI or with a mix of live-action as previous reported.
Both actresses star in ‘Oceans 8’ and, if true, Rihanna’s ties to the movie would see her reunite with Andrew Lloyd Webber on a creative front.
For, the creative (who made music for the musical) once claimed that he discovered her before Jay-Z did.
I need Nicole Scherzinger as part of this production as well, she is PERFECTION in Cats!
