Idris Elba is to play a maniacally wicked villain in the next ‘Fast & Furious’ movie!

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is to lead a ‘Furious’ spinoff and has called on his pal Idris Elba to fill the role of the plot’s wild and wicked villain who is determined to destroy the world!
“Deadpool 2” director David Leitch is on board to helm, with Johnson and Jason Statham reprising their roles as special agent Luke Hobbs and criminal mastermind Deckard Shaw, respectively. “Fast and Furious” architect Chris Morgan penned the script, with production set to commence this fall.
Elba’s exciting ties to the project will see him join the ‘Fast’ family for the very first time and add even more work to a schedule filled with projects he is building for the likes of Sky One and Netflix!
