DC Comics has found a good friend in the brilliantly gifted and whimsical actor Lakeith Stanfield.

Lakeith, who starred in ‘Get Out‘ alongside Daniel Kaluuya, has signed up to star in ‘Prince of Cats’….a DC Comics backed project set to be launched by Legendary!

It’s a 80s hip-hop retelling of Shakespeare’s timeless classic Romeo & Juliet– only this time, we follow Tybalt’s perspective as he and his Capulet crew navigate a violent Brooklyn where underground sword dueling with the Montagues blossoms alongside a vibrant music scene.

Sounds great.

Selwyn Seyfu Hinds will adapt the project for film.
