Read: ‘Power’ Creator Reveals Major Season 6 Spoiler!

As we reported here, fans of STARZ flagship series, ‘Power,’ tuned into its season 5 finale in droves to find out the fate of the show’s leading characters Ghost, Tommy, Angela, and Tasha as the foursome conspired to keep their freedom after a season of plot twists kept them on their toes and facing the chance of imprisonment.

With its final episode (which aired Sunday, September 9th) leaving jaws dropped due to the critical injury of a major character, viewers took to social media to sound off on what they believed would happen next – not only to the person in question but also to the remaining cast members left to pick up the pieces.

Tired of the back-and-forth, the show’s leading lady behind the scenes – television producer & writer Courtney Kemp – took to social media herself to offer a major spoiler and insight into season 6.  See it at your own risk inside:

Elaborating with TVLine, Kemp states:

TVLINE | Let’s talk about the big cliffhanger at the end: Are you prepared to say whether or not we’ve seen the last of Angela?
I can say Lela is in Season 6, but I can’t say what she’s doing.

TVLINE | Do you see Tariq being a Dre-level threat or greater in Season 6?
Yup.

TVLINE | You’ve said this is not a 10-season show. Power already has been renewed for next season. What’s the possibility that Season 6 will be the last?
I’m not allowed to answer that, per Starz. But what I can say is that the story is coming to an end.

The sentiment was echoed in a sit down with Entertainment Weekly:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: At the beginning of the season, I asked you about potential deaths, and your quote was, “We have to maintain the standard that everyone is vulnerable at times. Everyone, no matter what actor, and I really mean that.” So that must have meant that you went into this season knowing you wanted to kill Kanan and shoot Angela, right?
COURTNEY KEMP: No. I knew that this was going to be the last season for Kanan, for sure. But I didn’t, in terms of the Angela thing, Angela’s not dead. She’s just shot. And so, yeah, we knew some big stuff was going to happen, for sure.

Was 50 Cent ready to go?
We had a series of conversations about how the story was going to play out, and because 50 is expanding — he’s producing more, he’s going to direct next season, he has a feature film career ahead of him. There’s a lot going on in his career. So yeah, we talked about a lot of different things. But also, again, this show is not going on forever. It’s not procedural, it’s not CSI, it’s actually just a close-ended story that is a long-form.

So it kind of feels like next season will be the last. Is that it?
I can’t say any such thing.

Are you going to go to Bora Bora for a little vacation now?
I’m sitting in my office in New York because production starts Sept. 17. Where else would I be? The truck keeps moving.

Your thoughts?

I knew it, I knew Angela was not dead. I also figured either this or next season would be the last. The show is great, but she’s right, this isn’t the type of show that’s meant to last for 10 years/seasons.
