Whoopi Goldberg has confirmed that the ‘Sister Act’ story is returning to the big screen.

Whoopi shared the exciting news as she promoted her forthcoming shows in the United Kingdom on ‘Good Morning Britain.
We’ve been all over Disney begging. They’ve decided that they’re going to go in a different direction with Sister Act. It won’t be Sister Act 3. It will be a brand new rendition of Sister Act, and I guess I’ll walk through a scene and that’s how they’ll say I was a part of it.
The first two movies generated over $300 million and featured performances from Lauryn Hill, Maggie Smith, Jenifer Lewis, Isis Carmen Jones and A.J. Johnson.
I don’t want this unless Sister Mary Clarence is the main character! These movies are classics and don’t need a re-do unless it’s Whoopi, Kathy and Maggie Smith all over again
Please get it right this time. In Sister Act 2, they missed the most obvious plotline of all: Delores’ ex-bf’s mob connections are still after her, so they decide to hide in the one place they’d never look — in the same convent where she was sequestered the first time.
Tiffany Haddish is the obvious choice, but Leslie Jones would be an intriguing choice.
