U.S. Box Office: ‘Widows’ Earns $4 Million In One Day

Published: Saturday 17th Nov 2018 by David

Steve McQueen‘s remake of the ‘Widows‘ story is raking in the cash at the U.S. box office!

Good news below…

The picture picked up a $42 million budget from its investors and, much to the delight of its stars, earned $4 million on its opening day and a further $4 million globally since then bringing its earnings to $8 million.

Ultimately, Widows works as well as it does due to the way McQueen juggles substance with entertainment value to such eager subversive ends. The movie engages with topics as complex as sexism, police brutality, and interracial marriage, but it still delivers on the car chases and gunplay. No superhero movie digs this deep.

As for its Metacritic score?

Have you seen the movie?

If so, why do you think it has been received as well as it has.
