Publicists have confirmed that the actor and partner Paige Butcher have welcomed son Max Charles Murphy on Friday.
Weighing 6lbs, 11oz upon birth, the baby boy is said to have adopted his middle name in tribute to Murphy’s older brother Charlie, who passed away from Leukaemia last year.
The comedian has eight other children from previous partners Paulette McNeely, Tamara Hood, Spice girl Melanie Brown, and ex- wife Nicole Mitchell whom he shares five children with.
57-year-old Murphy has been with his Australian model fiancée, 39, since 2012, and Max is the pair’s second child following the birth of two-year old daughter Izzy two years ago.
