Despite being one of VH1’s lowest-performing shows, ‘Basketball Wives LA‘ remains a staple in its Reality TV roster.
Alas, as if viewing figures pulled in by its latest season wasn’t enough to give Viacom good reason to give it the boot, a storyline that has emerged off-screen has seen it a new reach low.

Built to rival Bravo’s ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘, ‘Basketball Wives‘ introduced the masses to Jackie Christie and her life in 2011.
Alas, this year has seen her brand marred and scarred beyond repair once viewers learned that her estranged daughter TaKari was forced to seek help from strangers via GoFundMe to assist her after her son was severely burned during a daycare accident.
Christie, and her affluent husband Doug Christie who is not TaKari‘s biological father, refused to help, forcing the basketball player/ ‘Wives’ co-star Matt Barnes to step in.
Viewers of Christie’s ailing show took to Twitter to blast her for abandoning her daughter and grandchild in their time of need.
Alas, said criticism has intensified following the resurfacing of a clip pulled from the series has seen said viewers given insight into the Reality TV star’s worrying relationship with her child.
In it, another one of her children details the cruel abuse TaKari is said to have suffered at the hands of Jackie…because she was “too dark.”

Jackie ought to be ashamed of herself! Her husband should never allow his wife to act that way towards her own child! As a man you step in and protect your step child and your own kids!
I disagree. It is not up to a husband to “allow” a wife to do anything! He either goes along with it or he can leave. It is Jackie’s fault solely this problem exists. Spreading the blame to this girl’s nonbiological step-father is not fair. What about the girl’s real father? Why is he not helping?
