Enough is enough.

This is what a who’s who of Black Hollywood are saying in unison following the recent deaths of unarmed Afro-Americans at the hands of police officers.

Beyond the spotlighted passings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castille, the issue is one that is continually debated in the US.

Declaring that the time for action is now, names such as Michael Ealy, Tika Sumpter, Cedric The Entertainer, and Beyonce‘s mother Tina Knowles-Lawson appear in the powerful campaign.

More on the movement, which is being spearheaded by Steve Jones, below…

In the haunting visual, those featured offer lines from ‘We Shall Overcome’ (a musical staple during the Civil Rights movement):

Kudos to all for using their platform for a necessary cause. Hopefully more follow suit.

    Why is SHE in this?

SHE’S African American. Why shouldn’t SHE be?

  4. Kwinzy August 6, 2016

Why wouldn’t Tina be involved? She’s a mixed woman of color who’s not a c*** enough to deny her blackness. Same with Jesse Williams. Regardless it’s a great cause.

    • Ughhh August 6, 2016

It has nothing to do with her color we are asking because she is not an actor. Everyone in the clips is an actor.

I’m glad people are not letting these senseless killings be swept under the rug.

Nice to see high profile people of color standing up against these atrocities in our country.

The USA is the most racist country in the world, ironically is probably the most racially diverse place in the world too. Like I know other countries like Brazil have race issues too but cops don’t go around killing black people like they’re chasing a Pokemon, for me is unbelievable that this is happening in 2016, more so in the supposed most developed nation in the world.

Curious as to why you find this surprising. Its nothing new. Activists created the NAACP more than a century ago to fight radicalized violence.
Then, we called it “lynching.” Today, we call it “police brutality,” but the effect is still the same our lives are in danger. Endangered by some of the very people who are called to protect and serve us. We are all tense, angry, devastated, and grieving. The current system is taking too many lives

I’m surprised because white cops are killing more black men now than ever, NOW during Obama’s reign, the first black president, it makes you wonder, if the president cannot change things, who else would do it?….Just imagine if Trump wins, or Hillary since she’s white too.

No, white cops aren’t killing more blacks now than “EVER”. This has always been an issue. You’re finally opening YOUR blue eye’s and acknowledging what’s going on because the Black Lives Matter Movement has forced the most rigorous discussion on police brutality and accountability in the history of America. We want cops to be held responsible for there actions. BTW I’m voting for Hilary Clinton. A democracy only works if people vote.

    • OMG Logic!!! August 6, 2016

LMAO! You could not possibly be MORE WRONG about that foolish ignorant statement of yours. Police brutality is non-existent in the US when compared to Brazil.

It is estimated that 1 in every 23,000 police encounters with a culprit ends up in a death by police shooting.

In Brazil it’s 1 in 23. ONE IN TWENTY THREE.

Think about that before writing such uneducated drivel.

Why is Beyonce’s “mom” there? She’s NOT WORKING. She’s NOT working in HOLLYWOOD, let alone educated. She was a hairdresser.

Why are you here? You aren’t even African American, let alone educated on the topic of police brutality in the U.S.

It’s truly sad that these words sung in the late 1950’s still hold so relevance in our world today! It’s really time for peace, change and equality! It’s overdue!
