Black Panther Breaks Marvel Pre-Sale Record!

Published: Wednesday 10th Jan 2018 by David

‘Black Panther’ is making major moves at the box office…before its release!

Positive news after the leap…

Advance sales for the African-American led action adventure has beaten ‘Captain America:Civil War’ to claim an enviable position.

What it is? The most pre-sale tickets sold in Marvel history.

Tickets became available on Monday night after an ad which aired nationally during  the telecast of the College Football Playoff National Championship.

Enamoured, movie buffs swarmed to retailers to purchase tickets not knowing that they were helping the project set the record it now holds with pride.

Hollywood movie expert Erik Davis shared…

‘Black Panther’ is riding an incredible wave of momentum right now. It’s one of the biggest and most anticipated movies to ever open in the month of February, and its trailers have electrified the internet. Tickets have been going fast ever since pre-sales started on Fandango late Monday.

February 12th marks the spot!

Good. I really hope the same people also turn up to support the animated Spider-man movie starring Miles Morales coming late this year.

It would be better to see all this hype for a quality blockbuster instead of Marvel basic flicks. But congrats.

      @ JOHNVIDAL

The movie haven’t even came out yet how could u possibly know the movie is mediocre??? Stop hating boo!

He’s talking about quality and content …a blockbuster yes an action flick for the ages yes an acting and cinema gem no a thought provoking piece no You don’t have to see a movie to deduce that- I get his point I’m all for celebration of black excellenve and power but I wish such hype would be put to a deeper more quality music movie.

        @Killian

U r saying the same thing he said in a different way… u couldn’t possibly no the content & quality of this film if it hasn’t been released yet… first ever black super hero with an all black cast & a big budget film! That’s a big deal for poc! Again… the hating is not necessary!

Every single Marvel flick is nothing but an average blockbuster. This looks like another one from the trailers. And it will be. They are NEVER taken seriously by serious circuits. Some are better made and put together and some others worse. When they get kind of high scores by critics it is keeping in mind “for a comic book movie standard”. That´s all. The only one that transcended that was The Dark Knight. All I say is that I prefer to see hype and great box office when it is for quality films. That is a joy to witness. Oh and btw, I said QUALITY BLOCKBUSTERS”. Didn´t say “small indie films” (which are also better normally btw obviously). I said blockbusters because I know we are talking about big movies. So another invalid argument given by you. I´m talking about a Nolan blockbuster for example. Blockbuster but with quality and something to say and art to express.

When did you see it? How was it?

    • Bam January 10, 2018

Oh aren’t your tastes just sooo elevated…
Just remember it takes blockbusters like Marvel movies, which very do well critically too, to make the smaller more artsy movies.

I don’t understand why some people feel like a movie has to be a drama to have a well written script and good acting.
