Children’s Book To Introduce To Black & Gay Santa Claus

Published: Thursday 6th Apr 2017 by David

Santa Claus has undergone a serious makeover.

Details on the character’s new, and perhaps controversial, revamping below…

The publishing company Harper Design announced the birth of the book ‘Santa’s Husband’ which sees the loveable children’s character transformed into a gay and black man in a same-sex interracial marriage.

Its writer Daniel Kibblesmith explains:

My fiancée [author Jennifer Wright] and I joked privately, and then on Twitter, that since every house has its own traditions and lore surrounding Christmas, we would tell our child that the black Santa Claus was the ‘real’ Santa. If they saw a white Santa at the mall, we’d explain that this was his husband.

Its intended audience?

Couples and new families who are looking to begin their own kinds of holiday traditions. Some people — not me — even believe that Santa Claus is just your parents, which would mean that there are as many interpretations of Santa Claus as there are different kinds of families. But again, this is only a theory, because Santa Claus is real, and we have written a book about him.

What do you think of Saint Nick’s new look?

      Why should we sexualize santa?

      • Shaquiiii April 6, 2017

        How is this sexualising Santa?
        lol.
He already has a wife Mrs. Clause…According to your theory he would already be sexualised…

Okay they doing way too damn much now. Time to chill with all this pushing.

    • Shaquiiii April 6, 2017

      I don’t necessarily think it’s pushing, it’s just a dumb idea lol.

    • Jeans April 6, 2017

Agree. This is a sad idea. Really?

    • Jeans April 6, 2017

    im here for it.

Modernising an old myth makes sense. After seeing jesus with dreadlocks or looking like an extra from ABBA… (which im also fine with), then i see no problem remixing s*** so it applies and appeals to the intended modern audience.

Out of control. Doing way too much now. This will eventually backfire.

OTT and unnecessary. That’s a book that’s gonna go out of print quick. I don’t think many people are going to be quick to introduce a black gay Santa Claus to their child.

  9. Shaquiiii April 6, 2017

lol, I am gay and this is just stupid.
If anyone is gay it’s Rudolf.

🙄 They forgot to make him Muslim and transgendered. No thanks, I’ll stick with the Santa I already know…

S*** like this is why Trump won.

  12. Darnell April 6, 2017

I’m so tired of this gay nonsense, stop trying to force it down our throats, just like empire last night, jamal was in bed with a man and had another man lusting for him… So sick, look what we are showing to kids

    • Cbeylive April 6, 2017

What was wrong with That Empire scene tho?

Doing the most. I care about Ancient Egyptian movies having a black cast. Movies about the Bible having a brown cast. Proper and positive representation of minorities in the media that are non-stereotypical and in roles that don’t employ a white savior complex. But Santa Claus? Unimportant and Unnecessary.

You know, White people already existed in biblical times, and most middle eastern ethnicities were not homogenous, on top of that, ancient people of the levant were Caucasian, by brown people you mean people with an olive skin tone (still Caucasian) typically of Mediterranean people, those are: Southern Europeans, people from the levant (including Egyptians, in a broad historic meaning equivalent to eastern Mediterranean) and the indigenous people of NORTH AFRICA the Berbers, Ancient Egyptians were indigenous to North Africa, which has always been divided/separated from sub-Sahara Africa, both geographically and ethnically, by the Sahara desert and the indigenous people of the region, a caucasoid ethnic group, THE BERBER PEOPLE, you’re welcome.

Not everything has to be adapted/changed to please minorities who already live in multicultural societies.
