In doing so, the flick – which stars Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, and Tiffany Haddish –  becomes Packer’s third offering to exceed $100 million at the domestic box office. His other titles to earn this honor are ‘Ride Along’ and ‘Straight Outta Compton.’

More broadly, it’s the first comedy this year to hit this milestone.

The slay isn’t limited to US shores either. ‘Girls Trip’ is scorching abroad too.

It has already made $7.4 million in the UK and seems poised to outperform ‘Get Out’ – another sleeper hit that ended its run in the region at $12.7 million.

The comedy also rocked South Africa, topping the box office for two weekends consecutively.

In having a staggered release internationally, the film will be released in Australia and Romania on August 31st, with roll-out continuing in other markets through to November.
