Madonna‘s ‘Truth or Dare is to be reborn.

Full story below…

Twenty-five years after the Popumentary impacted the world, ‘Dare’s dancers have reunited to star in a project named ‘Strike a Pose‘ which will premiere on January 17th.

In it, the performers bare all on the secrets they kept during the taping of the original project and how, rather unfortunately, tie into the AIDS crisis the world faced at the time.

That isn’t all.

The release will also bring with it never-before-discussed details on the legal battles and lies which plagued Madonna’s life at the time and how much (or little) she did to support the dancers once the show wrapped.

Directors Ester Gould and Reijer Zwaan shared:

Seven fierce male dancers became Madonna’s paragons of pride. In ‘Strike a Pose’ we learn – paradoxically – how their own lives were clouded by secrecy and compromise. Once again, their strength and resilience inspire us. We’re thrilled that we can share what we believe to be a liberating and important story with audiences in the US and Canada.

Yet to see ‘Truth or Dare’? IMDB breaks its story down:

From the rain of Japan, through threats of arrest for ‘public indecency’ in Canada, and a birthday tribute to her father in Detroit, this documentary follows Madonna on her 1990 ‘Blond Ambition’ concert tour. Filmed in black and white, with the concert pieces in glittering MTV color, it is an intimate look at the work of the music performer, from a prayer circle with the dancers before each performance to bed games with the dance troupe afterwards.

I have to see this. I don’t like Madonna, but her career broke barriers like what she did for her early years.
