BET’s ‘Being Mary Jane’ just added a piercing pair of blue eyes to its talented cast of actors. For, Michael Ealy has signed up to the hit drama.

The 43-year-old will seduce viewers as Justin Talbot, the new producer of Great Day USA who, who is also the man who got Mary Jane axed from her CNN gig.
Approached by the show’s lead and his good friend Gabrielle Union regarding the role, Ealy wasn’t initially considering any network offers.
Via Deadline:
“I had turned down several network offers, as I really was not interested in doing another show at the time, but because Gabrielle is a friend, I told her that I’d seriously think about and talk with my team. At the end of the day, I felt like we all have a social responsibility to help elevate material with people of color in any way that we can, and if there was an opportunity for me to help my friend and the cultural perceptions of our work, then I would do my part.”
An accomplished actor, Ealy has been nominated for a Golden Globe for ‘Sleeper Cell,’ stars in ABC’s ‘Secrets & Lies,’ and he recently finished filming the remake of ‘Jacob’s Ladder.’

Flashforward, Secrets&Lies, Common Law, The Following, and now Mary Jane… Michael Ealy has been trying to make his mark in television for the last few years but every show he’s on gets cancelled soon after.

It’s been a year since this show was last on. Why does BET never stay consistent with premiere date releases. It’s last season premiered in October of 2015… this show is too good for delays. Move it to a different network if it isn’t going to be treated properly.
