Ask and ye shall receive!

FOX have heard the calls from fans of cult hit ‘Prison Break’

Today the network announced that the hit escape drama will be back for a limited run.

More below, including news on the channel’s other new pick-up – another music drama from ‘Empire’ creator Lee Daniels.

According Deadline, stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell (pictured above) will both be back.

The 10-episode limited series is somewhat of a sequel, it picks up several years after the end of the series.

Per the report, the revival season will largely ignore the straight-to-video finale of the show’s original run, however will provide a logical explanation to why the characters are alive still alive.

FOX exec Dana Walden says: “The brothers and some of the iconic characters will be back, and it will address some questions in the series.”

‘Prison Break’ creator/executive producer Paul Scheuring is also on-board.

FOX also confirmed the series order of ‘Star’ – a new title from ‘Empire’ maestro Lee Daniels.

Interestingly, the drama pilot is also set against the backdrop of the music business.

The point of different? It’s set in Atlanta and chronicles three girls’ rise to the top of very challenging business. Walden added that the project “features a lot of Lee’s own DNA and represents a new perspective.”

Timing-wise, the arrival of ‘Star’ will sure set tongues wagging.

For, ‘Think Like A Man’ movie producer Will Packer recently announced a similarly themed show for NBC.

Titled ‘Buckhead,’ the series is described as a drama about ambition, sex, and revenge set in the extravagant, high-stakes world of Atlanta politics, entertainment, churches and strip clubs.

Granted it seems like everyone wants another ‘Empire’ (including the creators of…’Empire’), we certainly welcome more “Urban” programming on mainstream networks. Since UPN’s deletion, it’s been long overdue. Long overdue.

Lee Daniels is GAY, Wentworth Miller is Gay and he’s trying to get into Wentworth Miller’s pants – simple as that. Easy to see what Lee’s game is – he’s a middle aged old back man who likes light skin booty.

Weird, Wentworth is in Mariah Carey’s We belong together – and Mariah is lee’s homeboy.

I think you may be on to something. Hmm. Although, no offense to Lee, I would hope Miller would do much better. He’s a cutie too. Damn all the hot guys seem to be gay! Can U.S. women get a break?!?! Lol

but honey do you think Lee Daniels has that much clout to just make Fox bring Wentworth’s show back? Idk about all that… it’s separate shows.

I have no problems with the gays but Lee Daniels gives me pervert for some reason.

Jussie is not the best singer, but he’s marketable.

IDK just have to wait and see. But I think Wentworth Miller is dating someone? (Could be wrong.) Besides I know he’ll be on the set of the last Resident Evil soon.

the plot to Lee’s new shows sounds huge. I bet it’s gonna ruffle a loooot of feathers if it really talks about girlgroups and their history in the industry. a looot of shade and tea waiting to happen. I’m excited, if it’s done the right way it could be really something.
