The second search for ‘The Voice UK’ is underway!

Already a smash in the US (and its original home of Holland), the show has arrived on British shores by way of the BBC last year and takes its place prime-time for another year running. Coaches this side of the pond are Jessie J, will.i.am, Danny O’ Donoghue, and the legendary Tom Jones.

Billed as the definitive talent-search, many are predicting it to serve as a true contender to The X Factor‘s strong hold.

It’s official!

Fans of  ‘Scream’ singer Usher may do just that now that reports have surfaced the Grammy winning crooner has signed on for yet another season of NBC‘s hit singing competition ‘The Voice’.

The singer is in the middle of season 4 where he and Shakira came on to temporarily replace singers Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera.  Now, reports indicate Ush and Shakira will go on hiatus for the show’s fall season (as Xtina and Cee Lo return), but both are due to return for Spring 2014!

The break will certainly give the R&B heartthrob time to not only finish up his forthcoming new album, but also put the finishing touches on a highly anticipated Sugar Ray Leonard biopic that he has been reported to be portraying the boxing legend (source).

In hot promotion of their newest flick ‘After Earth’, father/son duo Will & Jaden Smith took to the U.K.’s ‘Graham Norton Show’ to fill in audiences on what they could expect from the film, etc.  What viewers were not expecting, however, were the slew of surprise guests – specifically cast members of Will’s hit 90s series ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’.

Toya Wright of “Tiny & Toya” and “Toya: A Family Affair” fame has seen her star steadily rise since her short-lived stints on the BET reality show circuit.  Ready for a round 3, Wright has enlisted the help of husband/A&R exec Memphitz via their newest showing ‘Crazy In Love‘.

Fans of Ang Lee‘s ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon‘ will be pleased to know that the flick’s sequel is on it’s way!

That’s right, 13 years after its December 8th 2000 release date, this year saw confirmation of its first follow up…billed ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Destiny’.

Set to hit the world via The Weinstein Company’, the movie will be scripted by ‘The Forbidden Kingdom’s John Fusco and will star Michelle Yeoh– brought on to reprise her role as Yu Shu Lien.

As far as production goes? Harvey Weinstein joins David Thwaites to fulfil that role, both of whom will see the movie shot in both English and Mandarian once production kicks off in March 2014.

Pulled from Wang Dulu’s “Iron Knight, Silver Vase”the action adventure’s plot will boast Donnie Yen (Shanghai Affairs, Blade II) as its lead character…taking on the role of Silent Wolf.

Five episodes into ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s second season, the show’s leading lady K.Michelle has confirmed reports that she is to part ways with the series….and will head to its East Coast counterpart ‘Love & Hip Hop New York’.

Baring all on ‘The Breakfast Club’ today, her interview with the outlet also saw him dish on the hype surrounding her material and her long running feuds with a number of her former cast mates.
