‘A Thousand and One’ has had critics buzzing on a global scale.

Led by Teyana Taylor in what many are deeming a career-defining performance, the powerful film is directed by A.V. Rockwell. It tells the piercing story of the spirited Inez who returns home to Harlem, NYC in the mid-’90s.

While reacclimating, she encounters a youngster who is on the cusp of entering the foster care system. Inez follows her heart and takes him into her own care…illegally. What follows is an emotional rollercoaster ride that spans 12 years.

To celebrate the movie’s arrival in the UK, That Grape Juice joined forces with Universal Pictures to host an exclusive launch screening in Central London.

The event saw our guests become some of the first in the country to see the riveting film – which won the Sundance 2023 Grand Jury Prize.

Hosted by Tinea Taylor, the evening was sponsored by Palmers – who provided goodie bags comprised of moisturizing must-haves.

‘White Men Can’t Jump’ is the latest classic film to be reimagined for a whole new generation.

Led by rapper Jack Harlow (in his feature film debut) and actor Sinqua Walls, the new take on the 1992 classic tells the tale of two basketball hustlers. Initially, at odds with each other (both on and off the court), the pair eventually team up to conquer a bigger goal.

‘First Class’ MC Harlow takes on the role of Jeremy (a spin on the character played by Woody Harrelson), while Walls stars as Kamal (a character inspired by Wesley Snipes‘ role in the original flick).

Premiering on Hulu on May 19 (and Star in international territories), a new extended trailer for the 20th Century Fox production has been unleashed.

Directed by Calmatic and written by Kenya Barris, the movie also stars Teyana Taylor, Vince Staples, Laura Harrier, Lance Reddick, and Myles Bullock.
