Published: Saturday 18th Mar 2017 by David

Welcome to Retro Rewind, the TGJ original feature launched to celebrate TV and Film’s hilarious past.

Today, we celebrate BET’s tireless efforts to offer its viewers diverse programming by revisiting its hit series ‘Hell Date.’

In it, unsuspecting romantics are taken for the ride of their lives when they are introduced to people they believe are looking for love.

Little do they know that love has nothing to do with it.

Take that journey to the past with us below…

Watch here!

The series came to an end in 2008 and was used to support BET during its long-awaited launch in the United Kingdom in the May of 2007 alongside the TV shows ‘Baldwin Hills’ and ‘Harlem Heights.’
