The ‘Rebel Heart’ tour, a worldwide live trek designed to support the 13th studio album of the same name by Queen of Pop Madonna, grossed a whopping $170 million over its 82-dates.  The sum not only came as one of the highest concert draws of the year, but also gave the Material Girl just the push she needed to nab the title of “highest grossing solo act in music touring history.”
But, if you were not one of the 1 million lucky attendees who got to witness her Madgesty in person, SHOWTIME has just the gift for you this holiday season…

Announced today, Madge has teamed up with the network to premiere the TV showing of her ‘Rebel Heart’ tour (live from Sydney) on December 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME, on-air, on demand and over the internet.
Co-directed by Danny B. Tull and Nathan Rissman, both of whom have worked extensively with Madonna on her feature films and tour movies, announcement of the showing comes just after the diva learned she was nominated for induction into the 2017 Songwriters Hall of Fame and was named Billboard’s “Woman of the Year.”
‘The Rebel Heart Tour’ has also made headlines for being nominated for ‘Tour of the Year’ at this year’s American Music Awards.  Read more on that here.

God if only MJ lived to finish off “This Is It ” and released those two albums he was working on. A Pop/R&B and the other a Jazz/Soul/classical album.

    • JOHNVIDAL October 22, 2016

What? I didn´t know Michael was working on a Jazz/Soul/Classical album.

No one cares about this old granny, her time is up! Celine Dion is the true Queen of Pop, she outsells this dinousaur with less promo, hype, without collaborating with hot artists and producers at the moment. With Titanic Soundtrack Celine has outsold the granny in albums sales too (and yes, it counts, it was the only reason that soundtrack sold as much as it did).

    • Lmfao_Hoe October 21, 2016

If that is true and is the case, then why people don’t count Whitney’s The Bodyguard, Preacher’s Wife, and Waiting to Exile soundtracks for her sales too?? cause they only include her studio efforts from that era of time (90s) instead such as I’m Your Baby Tonight and My Love Is Your Love.

      • hoy tengo ganas de ti October 21, 2016

The Bodyguard Soundtrack counts as Whitney album, no one can say otherwise. Don’t know about the rest tbh. Titanic Soudntrack had only 1 single and it was My Heart Will Go On (the rest were instrumentals no one cared about nor remembers today). And Whitneys sales are more impressive than Madonnas because she had far far less albums. She even made her shook back in the day.

      • JOHNVIDAL October 22, 2016

I´m sorry but The Bodyguard is always COUNTED as a Whitney album and adds to her total sales.

    • Lmfao_Hoe October 21, 2016

I see thanks for the information and enlightening the matter.

      • JOHNVIDAL October 22, 2016

Sorry. I didn´t see you had already replied to that other comment. Yes, Whitney´s The Bodyguard is the biggest era by any female in pop history.

  4. ! October 21, 2016

i’ve seen her live 3 times.

she’s amazing. No wonder her tours gross so much money each time after 30+ years in the game

  5. King October 21, 2016

I’m proud of madonna she really does this her old but still touring and having fun. I respect it because none of the older ladies are touring like her.
I bet Beyonce will tour like this when she’s 50 pumping yelling crazy in love…1…2…3..4

  6. Mark111 /.\ October 21, 2016

Guess HBO said nope. We have enough Beyonce shows to cover our low ratings slots.

You stay talking s***, with your Angler fish looking ass. And yes i’ve seen your pic, mister Chaturbate.

  7. JuicyLipps October 21, 2016

Madonna ticket sales have always been impressive, but if she ever does a GREATEST HITS TOUR.. It will be her biggest tour of all time and moe than likely the highest grossing solo tour of all time

I’m waiting…because I refuse to listen to 7 songs from REBEL HEART

    • King z October 21, 2016

Erm she already did a greatest hits tour with the reinvention tour

      • JuicyLipps October 21, 2016

14 hits out of 24 songs performed is not a GREATEST HITS TOUR…

      • Music_popo October 22, 2016

I went to that concert. She didn’t sing half her hits

    • JOHNVIDAL October 22, 2016

Problem is people age. It´s not only that you could make all thsoe peopel go to your concert. You also have to actually endure such a long tour. To become the biggest tour ever it would have to be a long ass tour. It´s not that easy.

  8. King October 21, 2016

Yo did you call someone a angler fish tho?
    Lmao?????
I thought only I knew what they looked like.
    Pewwwww
    That’s a bad comparison.

    • Love October 21, 2016

Lol he resembles one though, with his annoying ass. I’m so annoyed he stans for my girl Aaliyah though.

  9. Thando October 22, 2016

Yes yes yes yes yes yeeeessssss!!!! Can’t wait.
Reinvention tour was NOT a greatest hits tour it was in support of American Life. Whitney had great album sales with 1st 2 albums and then came those gargantuan sales from “The Bodyguard”, 45 million sold I think. Make no mistake when my mother bought the Bodyguard soundtrack in ’92 it was because of Whitney, I remember rewinding the CASSETTE WITH A PEN because the rewind button didn’t work to start all over again because all of Whitney’s songs were in the beginning lol.

Does anybody know if there are lists of biggets tours of all time but adjusted by inflation? Like there are with box office with films? Cause obviously Michael and the likes had monumental success and tours. Are Madonna or Beyonce having more success than them for example now or is it just cause prices keep going up? It would be interesting. With films a few people think Avengers, Frozen and Avatar are the biggest films ever when adjusted by inflation they soooooo far from such thing.

    • S****** Blonde October 22, 2016

      https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest-grossing_concert_tours

The list show the actual gross sales and the 2016 inflation. However none of Michael Jackson’s tour has crossed the 300 million mark, not even with inflation, The Rolling Stones are, U2, Bruce Springteen and Madonna are truly the only artists with touring power during their entire career, that including their actual gross per tour and the inflation of their old tour concerts, Pink Floyd were big too.

      • JOHNVIDAL October 22, 2016

Thanks so much for the info.
Another one who kills it is Celine Dion. If she had left Vegas behind more frequently she could have been in that top 10 more times (talking about the 00s list). It´s huge when you think the type of artist she is. All the others are more pop-performers or bands. Hell she just outsold some young pop girls last month with her French and Canadian sales alone for her French album and at her age 🙂

  12. ???????Chile, take this “Itty Bitty Piggy” to the market and make sure you hold her hand while crossing the street!??????? October 22, 2016

Alright! So, that’s Nicki’s, Bey’s, Little Mix’s, and now Madge’s Tour specials to look out for. I’ll find a way to watch then all somehow.

  13. October 22, 2016

madge knows knows how to play the game, she is a legend.
