ABC is fast emerging as the network television hub for the revival Afro-American programming.
Indeed, with shows such as ‘Scandal,’ ‘Black-Ish,’ and ‘How To Get Away With Murder’ dominating, it appears the channel is keen equalise the TV sphere by investing in more Black-led titles.
Case in point their latest pick-up ‘Uncle Buck.’
Anchored by Mike Epps and Nia Long, the series is based on the hit movie of the same name.
Uncle Buck (Epps) is a fun-loving but irresponsible guy who needs a job and a place to stay. By happy coincidence, his nieces’ and nephew’s nanny has just quit and his brother and sister-in-law need his help. His unconventional personality just may make him the right fit for the family and they may be the answer to his problems, too.
Set to debut this Fall, the first trailer for the series has been released. Watch after the jump…

Although it looks funny, it seems cliche. It’s like a Jewish ABC exec was like “let’s do another Blackish but this time let’s add a little flavor and funk to it.”
I will watch. Some of my favorite people on TV will be starring. Nia Long and Mike Epps will certainly get my support. I want to see my people WIN!

I Love Mike Epps. His role as DayDay was hilarious haha.
I’m sorry but nobody can play Uncle Buck better then John Candy, loved John in that movie it was absolutely funny but I just don’t see it as a television show just wish things were more original than something that’s already a movie classic I just don’t see this remake turning out so well.
