Viola Davis Teams Up With ‘Gone Girl’ Writer For New Movie

As Viola Davis’ ‘How To Get Away with Murder’ continues to impress viewers every Thursday night, Steve McQueen has called on her to star in his new movie ‘The Heist.’

Davis and McQueen have joined forces to create a big screen adaptation of the British TV series ‘Widows’ which first aired in 1983.

Its premise?

Three women whose husbands are murdered during a robbery attempt team up to protect their husbands’ “businesses” against police and predators by pulling off a heist.

Supporting McQueen to tell its revised tale is ‘Gone Girl‘ writer Gillian Flynn.

A premiere date is yet to be set.
