Forget Cookie and Luscious, Wendy Williams is the one building an empire.

Because fresh from inking a deal that’ll see her hit talkshow remain on-air until 2020 (at the very least), the media maven has signed on to front an ambitious new show for BET.

Full story below…

According to EW, the 51-year-old will launch ‘Wendy’s Style Squad’ on BET come February 16th.

The show will see the star “say it like she means it” on the fashions of some of showbiz’s biggest names.

Billed as a red carpet fashion commentary, the series will kick off with a wrap-up of the styles worn during the Grammy Awards (the night before).

The first hour long edition of ‘Wendy’s Style Squad’ will see Williams joined by a panel of fashion experts and co-hosts including Bevy Smith, Robert Verdi, and Lloyd Boston.

A total of six episodes will air during the 2016 awards season, with the BET Awards, Primetime Emmy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and the Billboard Music Awards serving as the additional ceremonies set to be covered.

‘Wendy’s Style Squad’ premieres February 16th at 9 pm ET on BET. Needless to say, there’ll be hearty servings of both tea and shade.

Huge congrats to Wendy!

Her brand of brash may routinely polarize, but there’s no denying that she is charging ahead and making major moves.

The irony here is that there were all sorts of calls for her to do E! Fashion Police‘s upon Joan Rivers‘ passing. And yet here she is launching a show kinda sorta competing with it.

More broadly, this is also an awesome look for BET who are expanding their programming into exciting new areas.

Yeah, yes, yup — I’ll be watching.

Cute. But I long for the day that BET creates their own material. Constantly copying, using or borrowing other networks material. Just because you add black people it doesn’t make it new. Lmao

While Wendy may get on my nerves at times you can not hate on her growing empire. Congratulations Wendy.

Great opportunity for him. Congrats! But the white man upstairs BET’s headquarters should really make a show to help ezplpit black artist’s music again such as an “Album Release” performance type of a show.

What happened to her Celebrity Undercover show though. *Sips Tea* But this is much more in her vein and makes sense. Only thing is she does the same thing on her own show. I guess this will be the extended version of it. Plus since she officially now considers her self a “sit down” comic, perhaps thats why she would want to start her own show. I do wish that she didn’t have her name it the title but perhaps that is to draw people in.
