The success of ‘Empire’ is no fluke.

Last night saw the music drama return for its much anticipated second season — and it did not disappoint in the ratings.

Details below…

The Hollywood Reporter confirms the network’s golden goose delivered dinosaur sized numbers with yesterday’s episode.

Lee Daniels’ hit easily outperformed everything else on TV last night (and this week) -excluding football — with an average 6.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 16 million total viewers. When compared to previous episodes, that’s only eclipsed by the March finale as the highest-rated ever.

*************

Yes, yes, and yes! Especially, as ‘Empire’ easily passes the sophomore the test.

Naturally, all eyes were on whether it would still be as compelling, as funny, and as outlandish as its initial run – and it was.

The punchlines hit like Mayweather and there were many a moment to muse over on social media (i.e. Boo Boo Kitty’s stiff twerk). What’s more, the long list of cameos didn’t take away from the show and instead highlighted how big it’s become in Pop culture.

All in all, huge congrats to all!

Yep, Taraji delivered as usual and serve catwalk realness as expected. She definitely deserves her recent Emmy nomination and one for next year. It’s time for our lovely, talented, intelligent, and beautiful black women to win again…….and dominate!

Lord Jesus Cookie is something else. The main quote I hollered at was when she told Booboo Kitty ” You can’t even d*** right ” i was dead ctfu. This season definitely gonna do wonders and will top the 1st season.

Tthe ratings will do the same as last season and thats asend in ratings every week mark my words the finale WILL hit 20 million. This show is witty funny ( cute at times) its everything. I cant wait to see the cameos kelly rowland playing Luscuios mother will be giving me life for sure. I just hope the MUSIC is much better this season. This isnt 1999 that Timbaline stuff is severely outdated and drip drop is that a rap song or nursery ryme. 2nd setback is all the GAYNESS theres nothing beautyful about gayness and cross gendered behavior. Homosexuality has its limitation and it should be kept strictly DOWNLOW. Jamal isnt even flamboyant yet the term gay still consumes his identity, also does in his real life since coming out. Geez just keep it in the closet. Other than tbat the show is perfect. All hail #EMPIRE & THAHNTS!
