American Idol blazes back onto TV screens tomorrow. Hence, so as to whip up heightened buzz, judge Nicki Minaj stopped by The Tonight Show With Jay Leno to plug what promises to be a must-see season.

The Young Money maestra dished on her her past acting jobs, the Idol process, and of course fellow judge Mariah Carey – who she had a much-publicised spat with last Winter. Interestingly, the femcee is now playing down the drama, putting their differences down to their passionate nature.

Late 2012 may have seen R&B chanteuse Melanie Fiona rocking stages coast to coast alongside Mary J. Blige and D’Angelo aboard their hotly-selling tour, but the songstress is still about that ‘MF Life’ as evidenced by the long-awaited visual for the album’s latest single.

Indeed, after winning critical acclaim for her commercial set, the songstress is kicking off 2013 with a video for the Grammy nominated ‘Wrong Side Of A Love Song’ – a fan favorite from the album.

Enlisting the help of screen heartthrob Omari Hardwick (‘Sparkle’, ‘For Colored Girls’), our friends at Singersroom caught up with the beauty on set of the video.  See all the action below:

Remember Alexis Jordan? We introduced you to her back in 2011.

Signed to Roc Nation, the 20 year old US native enjoyed success in Europe upon the release of her debut single ‘Happiness’ and her self-titled album.

Having spent much of the last year working on her sophomore effort (which also dubs as her debut on home-soil), the South Carolina native is back with new single ‘Acid Rain’.

Produced by Stargate, penned by Sia (the dream-team behind ‘Diamonds’), the high-ocane track features Jordan’s label-mate J.Cole.

Does the budding star’s latest offering pack a punch enough to propel her to the status of Roc sisters Rihanna and Rita Ora? Judge for yourself below…

Anyone’s who’s watched season 5 of ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ will know that Kenya Moore is a million shades of crazy. And while that makes for great TV, we think the former Miss USA may have taken it a step too far.

Following last night’s episode, Moore took front stage centre on Bravo‘s ‘Watch What Happens Live’ to perform her debut (and hopefully last) single ‘Gone With The Wind Fabulous’.

Peep Porsha Stewart‘s latest LOL below…

While we low-key love us some Kenya, it’s clear she’s doing what’s needed to appease the producers after ‘Walter-gate’.

‘…and like that, a smash hit is born‘.

As if the chart return of his wife Beyonce wasn’t enough to give Jay Z much to celebrate this month, his ‘Suit & Tie’ collaboration with Justin Timberlake has ensured that both he (and his pockets) will be smiling for some time.

For, less than twelve hours after its digital release, the R&B jam has rocketed to #1 in the UK- snatching the top spot away from Will.i.am and Britney Spears‘ ‘Scream & Shout’.

Having released seven albums in seven years, Rihanna knows a thing or three about longevity in the modern music industry. Case, point, her new scantily clad shoot for Complex magazine.

Digging into her trusty bag of tricks, the Bajan stage parader strips off to her bare essentials in a bid to whip up interest in her latest LP ‘Unapologetic’ – a title which is all-too apt given the approach she and her team have to her career.

For, since 2005, emphasis has not been placed on bringing her talent or consistency up to be on-par with her “star”. No. Instead, each album campaign seems to bring with it a bevy of opportunities to show us her goodies, cookies, and other particulars.

Now, of course, it goes without saying that she looks sorts of fierce in these latest snaps. But in the wake of the solid vocal showings she’s been displaying with ‘Diamonds’ and ‘Stay’ as of late, we’d much prefer to see Brand Rih shift gears a bit and embrace (if even a little) an image that celebrates her long-overdue strides vocally.

Perhaps when that occurs she too will be afforded opportunities such as the Super Bowl and presidential inaugurations.

Pending then, peep more pics of Rih below…

R&B, say hello to your revival.

Yes, if the last year has taught to us anything, is that the aforementioned genre’s well publicized downturn can be attributed to the lack of ‘push’ behind it. Push, only a select few of its staples can say they are afforded.

Now, by way of his undying popularity, Justin Timberlake kicks starts what is shaping up to be its chart revival with his new single ‘Suit & Tie‘, featuring Jay Z.
