Just as quickly as Cassie dropped jaws for suing her former boss and boyfriend Diddy over bombshell accusations he physically and sexually abused her, the R&B singer-model had heads scratched at the announcement she had negotiated a settlement before the lawsuit headed to court.

And while reps for the music mogul (born Sean Combs) maintain his innocence and assert the settlement was not an “admission of wrongdoing,” that hasn’t stopped commentators from keeping conversation about the hot topic ablaze on social media and beyond.

Among those making tongues wag for his commentary is controversial Web personality DJ Akademiks, who recently made headlines for his beef with Combs’ current rumored girlfriend – rapper Yung Miami.

Only an icon with the star power of Dolly Parton could align some of the biggest names in music for one project.

After dominating the Country arena for nearly 60 years, the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer switched gears and genres for her first-ever Rock album, ‘Rockstar.’

Released Friday (November 17), the 30-track project features 9 original songs as well as the diva’s take on 21 iconic anthems from the likes of The Police, Journey, Rolling Stones, Blondie, Queen, Prince, and more.

“I’m so excited to finally present my first rock and roll album Rockstar!” Parton shared before the LP hit shelves. “I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure.”

And while the tracklist is loaded with big-named guest stars like Elton John, Stevie Nicks, Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Sheryl Crow, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, Sting, Steven Tyler, and many more, two standout tracks came courtesy of the P!nk-assisted ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’ and the Lizzo-featured ‘Stairway to Heaven.

CMT assembled some of today’s most powerful voices to tribute the groundbreaking women in music who paved the way for them via its ‘Smashing Glass’ celebration.

The “genre-defying musical salute,” which gave a nod to women who broke records and smashed stereotypes, was recorded in Nashville at the Belmont University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts in October before airing on Wednesday (November 15).

Honoring trailblazers Patti LaBelle, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Tanya Tucker, and Sinead O’Connor, big names like Ledisi, Amber Riley, Mickey Guyton, The War and Treaty, Clint Black, Chris Janson, and more assembled to deliver their takes on some of the legend’s most iconic hits.

Usher was one of many notable names on hands to pay their final respects to the late great Aaron Spears. 

The beloved drummer performed with the who’s who of the music industry over the course of his illustrious career, which in turn saw shockwaves felt across the business when his death was announced on October 30.

Laid to rest in Maryland last week, footage from the emotional funeral has surfaced and shows Usher paying heartfelt tribute.

Breaking down in tears at the celebration of life, which took place at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden Worship Center, the GRAMMY winner honored Spears as an “amazing force.”

Nick Cannon is looking for ‘Future Superstars’!

The media mogul has long had a penchant for championing new talent and has teamed with VH1 to discover and amplify the voices of tomorrow.

Aptly christened ‘Nick Cannon Presents: Future Superstars,’ the docuseries chronicles the coast-to-coast journey of the ‘Future Superstars Tour 2023’ – which spotlights the gravitas of nine rising artists: Big Boss Vette, DW Flame, Hitman Holla, JD McCrary, Jilly, Klondike Blonde, Pop Money, Symba and Trae Two Three. Each episode will dial into the acts’ individual journeys.

That Grape Juice‘s Chet Kincaid caught up with Cannon, who dished on the show, the Hip-Hop scene at large, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, JAY-Z, and more.
