DaBaby is waxing candid about his losses following the homophobia scandal that erupted in the wake of his comments while performing at Rolling Loud

As extensively reported, the MC came under fire when chanting the following at the 2021 instalment of the festival:

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, then put your cellphone lighter up.

Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d**k in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

The aftermath saw the rapper dropped from many a live lineup and endorsement deals terminated. This, on heels of begrudged apologies and supposedly sincere do-overs weeks later.

Now, almost three years on, DaBaby is opening up about how the situation impacted his pockets.

Days after learning their 11th studio album, ‘But Here We Are,’ and some of its content were nominated for Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance, and Best Rock Album at the 2024 GRAMMYs, Foo Fighters are fighting to see the project’s housed cut, ‘The Glass,’ shine atop Billboard Rock charts again thanks to a little help from EGO winner H.E.R.

Just weeks after rocking ‘SNL‘ with a live version of the tune, the surprising duo of acts released their own versions of the cut for a double A-side single on Friday (November 17).

“Waiting for this storm to pass / Waiting on this side of the glass / But I see my reflection in you / See your reflection in me,” the veteran rockers wail on the updated track.

The original incarnation had already peaked at #5 on Billboard’s Hard Rock hitlist, but could the reinterpreted rendition by H.E.R. be just what’s needed to push it even higher?

After finding herself located inside the top 20 of Billboard’s R&B charts for the second time in her career with the 2022-released ‘Age/Sex/Location‘ album (bolstered by the chart-topping single ‘Pressure‘), Ari Lennox is looking to repeat the feat with the highly anticipated ‘A/S/L’ follow-up era.

Kicked off by ‘Get Close’ (released November 17), the romantic new single sees the songstress reinforce the age-old notion that ‘opposites attract’ while she croons for her love interest’s affection.

“You like Tupac, I like Janet / So damn stubborn, I won’t have it / I laugh at it, boobies grab it / Take a road trip, screw the planning,” she sings.
