2010 has been a great year for Monica. The R&B singer scored 2 top 10 singles on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and her latest album, ‘Still Standing’, has sold over 600k in the US to date.

During our discussion the ‘Gimme Dat’ producer spoke openly about how he got started in the industry, his experiences working with Ciara as well as her followup to ‘Basic Instinct’ and his thoughts on Rihanna’s vocal ability.

With her new album, ‘Basic Instinct’, on course to sell an underwhelming 35-40k in its 1st week, Ciara has ironically addressed the issue of low album sales with the Associated Press. The ‘Gimme Dat’ performer denounced the importance of record sales, claiming that they are “becoming smaller fraction of branding”.
