While Mariah Carey is no stranger to saturating the Christmas season thanks to her enduring hit, ‘All I Want For Christmas is You,’ the Pop icon’s activity has gone into overdrive this year to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the tune’s premiere.

In addition to the release of a deluxe edition of its parent album, ‘Merry Christmas,’ the diva embarked on a Stateside tour to spread holiday cheer on November 22 (click here to read more).  Now, partnering with Amazon Music, Carey’s Christmas campaign will venture into video streaming territory with the release of the forthcoming documentary “Mariah Carey Is Christmas: The Story of ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You.’”

The Weeknd may be well on the way to another chart-topper if the commercial response to his latest duo of singles, ‘Blinding Lights’ and ‘Heartless,’ is anything to judge by.

As we reported here, the Grammy-winner (born Abel Tesfaye) unleashed the tracks with little warning last week.  Immediately greeted with acclaim from his devoted fans, the tunes quickly shot to the top of real time sales and streaming charts – positions they have maintained well into this week.

Following the release of an accompanying music video for ‘Heartless’ and the Mercedes Benz ad campaign featuring ‘Blinding Lights’ as its official theme, it’s pretty safe to say Tesfaye’s en route to kicking off one hell of an era.

With renewed interest in her solo profile thanks to a third place win on the most recent season of ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ singer Ally Brooke is looking to take that momentum on the road with the recently announced ‘Time to Shine’ tour.

Taking to Instagram to break the news, the 26-year-old cleverly revealed tickets for the jaunt will go on sale to the general public Friday (December 6).  Consisting of only a handful of dates as of time of the announcement, Brooke confirmed the 2020 trek – which will likely coincide with the release of her debut solo album – will have more shows scheduled by the time of kick off.

Hollywood, California’s Taglyan Cultural Center was packed Sunday (December 1) for the 29th annual DIVAS Simply Singing fundraiser.

Hosted on Worlds AIDS Day, the event – an annual “must see” created and hosted by actress/singer’s D.I.V.A. Foundation – stands as the United States’  longest-running musical AIDS benefit.  Choosing legendary, award-winning songwriter Diane Warren as this year’s honoree, the house was chock full of artists who have sung some of the penman’s most memorable tunes (including Deborah Cox and Brandy).

While on hand, the latter – as seen in the photo above – reunited with Ralph and actor William Allen Young (who portrayed her parents on the hit 90’s sitcom ‘Moesha’).  Having teased talks of a reboot of the UPN series over the past few years, B-Rocka went on record to say a revamp was finally in the works.

She may be busy performing to packed venues across America on the critically-acclaimed ‘Sketchbook’ tour (in support of her latest album of the same name), but Fantasia found time for daytime TV on Tuesday (December 3) as she was spotted chatting it up with the ladies of ‘The Real.’

In addition to dishing on her latest project, Stateside trek (which she recently announced will be her last), and the joy of releasing music independently, the Grammy-winner spoke candidly about the highs (see:  finding love in husband Kendall Taylor) and lows (see: reported suicide attempt, etc.) of her storied life and career.

With songwriters Greg Wells and Ferras to assist, Pop star Katy Perry rang in Christmas 2018 with an original yuletide-flavored ditty, ‘Cozy Little Christmas.’

Reportedly inspired by the singer’s time spent with family in Copenhagen one holiday season, the song enjoyed a brief run on the Hot 100 last year and even peaked at #53.

Hoping to reignite interest in the cut this year, Katy recently unveiled a music video in its support.  Directed by Watts, the visual sees the Grammy-nominee flaunt her usual kooky comedy by rocking around the Christmas tree with animated animals, getting back rubs from reindeer, sunning with Santa, and making a splash in a martini glass.

Will the theatrics be just what she needs to boost the tune back up Billboard?  Watch inside and let us know:

It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly 20 years since the release of Jill Scott‘s breakthrough album, ‘Who is Jill Scott:  Words and Sounds Vol. 1.’

Originally released summer 2000, the LP instantly shot the poetic songstress into the Neo-Soul stratosphere on the backs of songs that would later become her signature ‘Gettin in the Way,’ ‘The Way,’ ‘He Loves Me,’ and ‘A Long Walk.’

When Claude Kelly and Christina Aguilera teamed up to create her sixth studio album ‘Bionic‘ they believed its electronic sound and themes of self-love, fashion, travel and beauty would be celebrated by the world and judged fairly by critics and fans alike.

This week, Claude has revealed that the opposite occurred because a gossip platform launched a vicious campaign (endorsed by some senior figures in the music industry) to derail the album’s push and fling Aguilera’s brand into a web of ignominy.
